Anonymous, 29 Mar 2019Still very bad, Huawei is leagues ahead in this areaI wouldn't say leagues ahead, it's just a case that Samsung is being reserved in implementing it.

Kadafione , 30 Mar 2019I'll stick with my 40w supercharger let me know when Samsu... moreHaha yeah... My Oppo Vivo eventhough on microUSB charges at 40 watts peak...
I don't even have to charge to full, plug in for an hour then leave and I don't have to worry for normal usage for up to 16 hours... And if I want to boost, plug in charger whenever possible for few minutes ready to go...
Also, my phones are touching end of warranty period soon (2 years), battery life I lost an hour or so of screen on time and standby time, not sure what people are smoking about battery deterioration... Every battery will deteriorate as it wears, but my case of fast charging it didn't even deteriorate faster than those SLOWER charging common phones... My guess is they just jealous they can only peak at 30 watts for now...
Also the heat issue, battery heats up while fast charging, not my case leh..? What they're smoking again...

I just hope, should 25W charging support really come to the LTE ones, that they're going to support the open PD standard and that they won't just tell you "yeah, but only if you buy our new super charger" :P

[deleted post]Did I??
Last time I've checked, I wrote the exact thing as what's written on the specsheet.
Also, hating is different from irony. I merely stated what's true, but apparently, the truth hurts, right?
Before you call me a fanboy, I just wanna tell you that I'm considering picking up a Galaxy S9 for a low price since those phones are already in a good deal now, though I really don't have the money right now to get it.
Last thing, I don't know why would you bring up Sony in this topic when I didn't even make mention of it, not even once in my previous comments or such.
I know that you're sick, but you could at least control it by shutting up when you have really nothing to prove here.
Bye :))))

Anonymous, 29 Mar 2019Still very bad, Huawei is leagues ahead in this areaObviously Samsung holding back on high power charging for a reason. Samsung definitely would have the technology to implement higher charging rates, don't think the Chinese manufacturers are ahead. It's all about playing it safe I presume

25W is good enough. 30W max. portable.. size like iPad charger. Macbook / Core M laptop.
60W, a good charger is getting heavy. ultrabook charger
100W, it’s like a laptop brick. Example: 15 inch Macbook Pro charger.
180W to 300W.. it’s insanely big.. if it’s passive cooled. Example.. PC case with external PSU.. or Asus egpu xg station pro.
Any charger who do not follow above.. and build it small and light.. you should be scared.. cause it will run HOT and may cause ur house to burn down.
