viano, 03 Apr 2019That POCO you can only compare with vanilla ZF 5 (ZE620KL)... moreThe Poco has one of the highest calibrated screens as per GSMArena testing. So your charge that its not a flagship screen is false. I live in India with bright sunshine and on max brightness I have no problems viewing the screen.

Second you can spin it all you want but the Poco F1 competes very well with the ASUS Zenfone 5z and there is a reason the Zenfone 5z hasn't set the sales charts on fire.

My friend has the Asus Zenfone 5z and while it is a nice phone the glass back is slippery as hell so he puts it in a case just like my phone. And he has to carry a charger with him as he constantly runs out of battery life on long days. So I am happy I didn't go for the ASUS 5z. If the ASUS has better battery life on the 6z I may consider it in future but for me the Poco F1 is better than the ASUS 5z.

Hope they get rid of the notch for good. The 5Z's notch is an eyesore

Tony, 02 Apr 2019Never again a phone from Asus. I have the "flagship" Zenfo... moreI think you have to complain at Goooooooooogle!

It was a project with Google and they have stopped it.
the very similar ZF Ares - launched in 2018 on TW only - runs on Nougat as well.

I think there is no support in newer Android versions for all that very special AR-VR functions.
... but still a unique and very special phone with top of the line performance
and Nougat is still the most stable Android version.

Joe, 02 Apr 2019It's already out LOL. They should call it ZenFone 7 or some... moreOh yes!
              ASUS launched a phone with 6 inch screen in 2014 already . . .
could be last years phone as well with up-to-date HW-parts.

... and here the last post about it (nearly 2K comments!)

              > Hi, today is 26 March 2019. My Zenfone is still working flawlessly. My Zenfone 6 is manufactured in 2015 (printed on the sticker). No problem so far. I just had the battery changed only once. I am still using this phone as my backup phone. The 6 inch display is great.

but this has still much better quality display and build and so on ...
It is a better, well balanced package for common users with flagship cameras
                and other top features.

POCO is just a fooling one feature phone (the SD845 SoC lol) for benchmark fans.

The list of features offered by ZF 5 would be very long, that you miss on POCO ( F1 lol)

                Only one example here
                - 84% NTSC color gamut (shows quality of display!)
is just a bad joke on a like to be - flagship killer -
                - the brightness does not even met the given spec (500nits)
but it is only about 450 in reviews!
                and so on ...

                This is that overhyped POCO.

and who is buying phone at full prices?!
There are sales everywhere ... at each time.

Some markets never received 5z and some don't have on plus in them. Poco is also not global.

Hope zenfone 6 will use SD675 and 6Z SD855. Just like before all same but come with different processor.

Why the emphasis on "wifi alliance"? Does Zenfone-6 support wifi-6 or 802.11ax?

BelowAverageAndroid, 02 Apr 2019I could only agree. Zenfone series are such great bargain f... moreThe ASUS Zenfone 5z was a nice phone but when I bought my Poco F1 it was $130 cheaper than the ASUS and the Poco had better battery life which was what I really wanted.

The One Plus 6 was a better option to buy than the 5z when both were selling at full price.

Its the main reason very few people bought the 5z.

Zenfone series are such great bargain for the price. And they are actually made of high-quality stuff, something that isn't there with the proclaimed "flagship-killer king", which is none other than the Pocophone F1.

                                      Looks somewhat "fakeish" to me.
