Apple iPhones get cheaper in China, but still more expensive than competitors

Both companies are the worst in business in my opinnion, but if I had to choose Huawei or Apple phone, no brainer here, would go for more capable and less expensive Huawei stuff

Of course, it is still more expensive than its competitors. After all, it will not be Apple if it does not charge high premiums for lesser features and inferior innovations. And yes, Apple is already a declining in Asian markets bcos customers are now more aware on the products that they buy unlike in the US where consumers are easily caught by deceptive marketing (where Apple is really good at). That's why Apple is still a top brand in the US and not in most Asian countries. We asians want real innovation for the price that we are paying. Love from India.

Still doesn't fix the real problem.... Which is.... Asian see that iPhone is lack of innovation. Asian BELIEVE that Android phone is better than iPhone...
And Asian believe that Best camera phone is Huawei (not iPhone), thus, asian choose Huawei P30 over any iPhone.

Samsung and other Android brands are dead due to the Android environment in Mainland China.

The price has already been cut by the third party retailors, much lower than the new price on Apple website, but it is still kind of expensive since the competition is so intense there, unlike the US where most people choose Apple and Samsung.

Cutting prices will give a short term boost to sales. But long term it will lead to less sales as consumers don't want to buy an iPhone at the original MSRP anymore. If anything this move shows how desperate Apple is in the China market. Huawei is doing something right, keep at it.

They talked about Japan those days on these lines until everyone realised that Japan is no more cheap nock-off destination for electronics instead their products started outshining every single one. These techs cannot be just copied and pasted like we do it in notepad! If that's how they can be made, I am sure all other countries in this globe could have done it. Nokia, Blackberry, Ericsson all have failed miserably because they could not compete with Samsung, Huawei etc...

Chinese people know this. Some are disgusted by this behavior, some know its unsustainable if the source of innovation is lost.
The only downfall for the rise of China phones is.. they still rely on Western OS. Android and iOS. Which the govt is trying to block online services.. and develop their own in house apps.. so in the future they can assimilate the OS as their own. But they cannot publicly do this, else theres gonna be an up roar. If they develop their own OS, the world will not buy it.
So my word to huawei or xiaomi is this: treasure people’s trust. Build your own identity, stop childish twitter, no stealing of people’s idea, no undercut or do shady deals.
