03 April 2019
The smaller variant is rumored to retain the 6.4-inch screen of its predecessor.

Whackcar, 03 Apr 2019I'm all for smaller phones, but here it just doesn't make s... moreIt could, if they had flat sides. Be a revelation. The good part about the s10e is not just size, it is the flat sides. And it makes more sense on a device with a pen. You wouldn't by paper with curved sides.

It is the wretched curved displays I hate. The s10e is gorgeous, shame about the small battery.

Is this the beginning of the end of ever increasing screen sizes to prove a phone is better or flagship status? Well i hope so.
Phones look like they are maxing out at 6.??" The new Galaxy s10e has proved there is a massive demand of people that dont want to walk around with a tablet sized phone 7" + and that 5" and 6" is plenty screen estate. (My point excludes fold phones, which may turn out to be over priced gimmicks)

I hope the smaller Note 10 will have a flat screen. If so, Samsung may win me over again, since my last phone from them was the Note 4.

Whackcar, 03 Apr 2019I'm all for smaller phones, but here it just doesn't make s... moreis true, i think a lot of people been asking for a smaller note which doesn't make sense at all, samsung should never listen to stup*** comments like that, from day one the note series are always big and and more powerful.

It really does your head in!

Last year they couldn't launch a flat screened note 9 because that would give too many versions...

I miss smaller phones and ones with metal backs. Even plastic matte back is fine.

I think another reason why my Essential Phone can be awkward to hold is the weight. Ceramic back. Titanium sides. The LG G5 is like 6 mm taller and a tad wider but doesn't feel as heavy.

I prefer flat screens. No curved edges. If the next Pixel 4 can offer the same size as the Galaxy S10e, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I would actually get the Pixel 3 except it only has 1 rear cam and 4 GB RAM. Next one should have 6-8 GB and another rear cam.

I really do like the S10e but I just don't prefer any OEM skin on top. I used to find vanilla Android boring but now I think it's the only way to go. The smoothest Android software experiences is really buying a Pixel. Best optimization for it.

Whackcar, 03 Apr 2019I'm all for smaller phones, but here it just doesn't make s... moreI think whether a smaller size Note makes sense or not should be left for the market to decide, people should stop whining about everything under the sun..

Kingslayer, 03 Apr 2019Smaller still means Note7 and iPhone XR size. The best one-... moreIn my opinion a bezeless sony XZ1 compact would be the best size/dimension for one hand use. Sadly sony will be out of the smartphone game soon but I hope i'm wrong.

vrvly, 03 Apr 2019With screens going 21:9, it should be still big enough. M... moreUmm, on the contrary. This ridiculous aspect ratios mean it will never be wide enough, hence, it will be small, despite being tall. You can make it 1 meter tall, but,ll still not have big picture if if's narrow.

If its comes with 5G, it will be mad expensive

                        Note 10e, Note 10, Note10+, Note10 5G

Smaller still means Note7 and iPhone XR size. The best one-handed feel is the size of the Nexus 5. That should be max dimensions for what's considered a small smartphone these days.

The best phone I own with the best in-hand feel is actually the often maligned LG G5. That's why it's my favorite phone. It's a little tall. Same height as the Galaxy S8 and S9. But it has a rounded shape on the sides and it's a dream to type on. I make the least mistakes typing on it. It's not 100% perfect. It can kinda weigh on me after awhile holding it.

My Essential Phone is actually shorter and a tad less wider than my G5 but it doesn't feel great in the hand while typing. It feels boxy and awkward. The typing on it can be a little off due to its inferior digitizer. Same with the iPhone SE and LG V20. One is way too small that I will make mistakes. The other is just too tall for my thumb to reach upper corners.

I think a phone with a minimum display size of "5.3 but be no bigger than the Nexus 5 would be the perfect smartphone to type on and hold one-handed. I've tried different sizes concurrently and there really is no ideal size out there yet for me. Many are too large. But then typing on even "5 is a tad too small.

I would love the "4.7 form factor of the iPhone 6/6s/7/8 but get rid of the top and bottom bezels. I know it can be slippery but I love the dimension. It matched the HTC One M7 in size. My M7 was a little awkward to hold for too long. The edge weren't as rounded like the taller M8 would be.

Cuz the vanilla Note10 will be too expensive

With screens going 21:9, it should be still big enough.
May be important now, with their rumored update about camera. If 192mp leak is true, you will surely want one. May as well launch 8K recording as their exynos is capable.

I love Sammy Note models years ago, where i always bought the new versions... But because of good specs and mostly because Note was a big display smartphone 5,7 inch 16:9, that was one of the buggest... But today the have normal size... Boring.

Samsung got a taste of profit from small phones.

They must have learned that there are people out there that desire smaller compact phones, with premium specs.

In fact 6.4 is still too large for a note. They should be sized like a normal pocket sized note book. 6 inch bezel-less.

Some people just want to take fast notes. Leave the bigger one for artist drawing. In fact i truely doubt many draw or even use the pen anyways...
