Well i can understand why they picked one plus because of price compared to specs.
But google pixel??? What interesting it have apart from a very high price compared to a mediocre specs???

For junk phone competition, that is truly competitive. Though there's a huge market gap in the midrange in the US, not filled by the A6/+. They tried the premium budget with the J4+/6+ but seems this didn't work.
If they can price the A80 decently though (the announced price is straight up obscene in all honesty) they can rule the US. But that won't be happening. The US is weird.

If you look like a duck you must be a duck , we buy a flagship phones and we expect a flagship software from a flagship phone. Only flagship hardware (Samsung) or only flagship software (iPhones) is not a flagship. It is unacceptable to wait 1 year for a major update, 1000bucks phone must release updates max in 2 weeks not 1 year.

People are tired of waiting 1 year for an update for their 1000bucks flagship phone and they're tired that their Samsung phones become extremly floppy and slow after a while. iPhone users: they tasted the beautify, freedom and paying much less for way better devices and accesories in Android's world.

I've been so disappointed by Samsung's phones bad battery life and high price that I've started thinking about getting a Xiaomi's phone (Mi Max 3 or Redmi note 7), I myself find it hard to believe

Makes perfect sense. Samsung & Apple have two of the highest userbases, which clearly means that more customers are using one of these phones & thus these companies are more likely to lose more customers to other brands.
Pixel & OnePlus lineups are the more favorable switching options due to running clean OS & offering the best Android experience with smooth performance & long-term updates.
