Wow!! great spcs only minus on 3.5mm headphone jack, the rest is okay.

Oppo has never been that great with their cameras. I wouldn't get excited until i see credible sample images from it's cameras.

Still, i appreciate the innovation nonetheless. Periscope zoom cameras are obviously the way to go forward.

Shanti Dope, 10 Apr 2019The problem isn't about the optics, rather the sensor itsel... morePretty much it must be already straight tilted angle when on that shark fin mod.

Nice, this is Best periscope camera no chuawei P30 Pro with low f/ and low resolution 8mpx.

Just imagine what it could be if it had stock android!

kryaags, 10 Apr 2019a circular camera has no edges so no matter how you placed ... moreThe problem isn't about the optics, rather the sensor itself, which, as we all probably know, is either square or rectangular in shape, and it defines the orientation of the image produced.
At that angle at which these phones' front cameras open up, the images will be slightly tilted in perspective since the sensor itself is also tilted at an angle, and that's what I'm referring to, not the optical lens.
To put things into perspective, when the camera is taking a picture in horizontal position, the image that will be produced will also be horizontal, and the same thing for vertical position, heck even diagonal (which is the case I'm referring to right here).
And thanks for reminding me to read something about photography, but I definitely made sure I know what I'm talking about before posting.
Not sure about you, but I really wish you get what I'm saying, because it makes you look quite stup1d ranting on something you probably didn't understand well :))

Finally something new on smartphone market. Great specs, great cameras, very nice looking, and the best-great price. Compare now this with Nokia 9, better in every aspect. Probably just for Asia, like almost every Oppo.

imagine a dslr been held in vertical position do images turned out to be unsymmetrical,?? nope, learn some optics before commenting.

Why no SuperVOOC ? VOOC 3.0 is slow as...

Nice phone with nice price and colors especially for sea green lets see if its cameras can go head to head with P30 Pro

Isn't it going to be weird when taking selfies??
I mean, the front camera is slightly tilted when it is brought up, so pictures are also going to be slightly tilted as well.
Not that I find a major issue here, but I imagine most selfies taken with these phones not being vertically straight.

My goodness, I love how these Asian firms are revolutionizing the Tech industry. Practically trashing the likes of apple and Google to wake up in terms of design. A whooping snapdragon 855, 10x Zoom at this insanely affordable price tag? .
                          $595) for the 6GB/128GB model
                          ($670) for the 6GB/256GB version
($714) for the top 8GB/256GB variant.
                          Far better than ONEPLUS 6T

Oppo design recently has been really good. Well done!
Now, update your god damn phone!

The 10x Zoom is interesting tho.
BUT companies are really struggled to build a compact phone, eh?

Looks nice, but I will never buy a Chinese phone in protest of the country’s human rights situation.

As a Sony fanboy myself, this is truly a very nice looking design and finally something that looks a little different than all of the Samsung/Apple/Huawei clones out there.
