Okay, but why does this premium mid range phone have better main camera sensor than the flagship S device?
Sure, S10 series got larger pixels, OIS, and wider aperture, but then we have this mid range phone that has much higher resolution, and could do pixel binning to achieve up to as large as 1.6um pixels (larger than the S10 devices' main sensor), which in turn neglects the effect of lack of OIS and narrower aperture.
About the only thing that's better on the S10 devices is the processing, but we are talking about Android, and GCam can be integrated pretty much on any Android phone to achieve much better images, and this Galaxy A80 will benefit so much more from it than the S10 series; so much so that it can even beat them already.
Here's to hope that flagships already start having at least 1/2" sensors with greater than 12MP resolution.
How does these manufacturers justify the fact that a sub-$300 Redmi phone could match the image quality of their top-tier $800 and higher flagship handsets?

According to Sammobile, it's going to have Snapdragon 730 (the processor that snapdragon announced less than 24 hrs ago) and it's going to cost 649 Euros, which converts to around £560, 730 USD and 50,000 INR . Honestly the A80 is a miss for me, just due to price, me personally if you're willing to spend that amount on the A80, you're better of waiting for a couple more weeks till One plus announce the 7 or when Oppo announce 10x Zoom (I feel like 10x zoom will be a Chinese exclusive phone) I guarantee you guys the One Plus 7 and 10x Zoom will slaughter the A80 is spec wise and will also be cheaper too.

I really like this design. I've tried vivo nex dual display so i know how nice it is to take your selfie using rear cameras. Too bad about the price though, at that price point i'd rather get one of the S10 series.

The lower battery capacity, the lack of microSD slot and the lack of a proper case that could protect that design are deal breakers for me. Imagine the cost repairment of that mechanism after a single drop....

Waiting for the whole specs sheet. Fingers crossed!
No expandable storage already, sad but not a deal breaker.

Damn that design looks so freaking intelligent and camera just rotates and unites with the rear again when the cam is not used for front facing shots. Like a unidesign(!= unibody)
