AnTuTu tests Snapdragon 730 and 665, has good and bad news

11 April 2019
The 730 is up to 25% faster than a 710, but the G version disappoints despite higher clocks. The 665, meanwhile, struggles to beat the old 660.

That whole table lineup is a mess on Qualcomm's side IMO... Practically every Snapdragon SOC after the 615-810 disaster is a banger for the money but the numbering scheme is all over the place now

temp, 11 Apr 2019what is bad newsThe bad news is that the Snapdragon 665's raw processing power is generally quite worse than the one of the OG Snapdragon 660

Yuupi, finally some midrange SoCs which have faster graphics than my old snapdragon 820. So to my understanding - you need 8nm technology to use the full power of a adreno 530 gpu lol. My phone always runs the gpu at the lowest frequency to prevent overheating due to the crappy cpu and 14nm arch ( so it uses 20% gpu max ).

Just get pocophone f1 with sd 845 for 270 bucks, or upcoming f2 with sd 855 for about 350 bucks starting price and problem solved. To many chips with so little difference, and u will lack some features with every- 660,665,670,675,710,712,730.If someone must take one of these,go for Sd 730,Sd 730G or sd 675.

                Anonymous, 11 Apr 2019Exynos 9610 >>> SD665nah, trash Exynos

its CPU is about on par with 660 at best, but GPU is worse

Even if the 665 turns out to be slightly slower in some areas compared to the 660, don't forget the DSP and ISP power that the chip offers over the 660. If they are put to good use, that would be a compromise I would be willing to make.

"The Snapdragon 670 has a better GPU than the 675, but a weaker GPU."
two times GPU seems not really intended, or am I wrong?!

The Snapdragon 670 has a better GPU than the 675, but a weaker GPU... this line needs correction

So, for gaming, get SD730(G) or SD670 (or perhaps SD675), not the others. Of course, depending on specific gaming support for each.

The Interpretation of this Chart is Incorrect.

The new processors have larger and smaller cores. The new arrangement ensures that heat management and energy management are excellent. Since the design of the ill fated Snapdragon 810, and especially since the 855, Snapdragon has been trying to ensure that the lower cores can run for much longer since they handle the majority of workload, even the very heavy ones. The highest clocked cores are terrible with energy and heat. This test is not comprehensive enough and is not a good test of actual use, speed, heat and battery management.

Plus interestingly the 8nm cores are literally Samsung trademark dye size. Meaning that they have been (designed by Snapdragon and) manufactured by Samsung.

Very interesting. Plus they have a new neural engine for the next generation of complex tests.

The Snapdragon 670 has a better GPU* than the 675, but a weaker GPU*. So it would be up to smartphone makers to prioritize performance in games or in apps..............need corrections at asterisk @GSMARENA
