Move all the media out. Remove iTunes. Have iDevices appear on Finder App on Mac.
On iOS, upgrade the Files App to Finder App functionality.

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2019I am the user of iTunes Match, not Apple Music.
I upload... moreSir all what you could do with iTunes you will be able to do it in future with other apps. No worry you'll still be able to upload your music and sync them between all of your devices and you can listen to all of your music playlists offline.
BUT, do not even think about it, that Apple is trying to make it easier and better for us and developers, Apple is trying to find a new way to soak our money more, let's Apple surprise us.

Hmm, 11 Apr 2019"More than 18 years after its launch and the revolution it ... more"Breaking up iTunes into several apps would allow Apple to have a more uniform experience on all devices and would clear the clutter of its all in one approach"
I am not an iPhone user but the way I see this is instead of iTunes being the Universal Gatekeeper' you will just have the installed apps Music, Video etc. These apps will take over the 'security features' of iTunes.
iPhones will still be constrained lack of memory expansion, no media sharing ability Bluetooth or NFC .
Major change albeit cosmetic

I am the user of iTunes Match, not Apple Music.
I upload all my music to iTunes in my old Mac mini. Everything will be sync'ed to my iPhones / iPads / Other Macs automatically.
I hope they don't remove this feature of iTunes.
I understand people normal usage.. they had an old Windows PC, they load all their songs into iPods / iPhones etc etc via wires. They find it clunky. And i agree. But if you have iTunes Match & a Mac, with automator, you can download anywhere and automatically sync up the library easily.

Finally! Its just funny how Apple made this move after Spotify flamed them with complaints on this platform. If Spotify did not mocked them, maybe they will be sticking to this prehistoric app.

One of the main reasons I left iOS back in 2013. Hated iTunes, crippled program with endless updates. Android is freedom.

Hmm, 11 Apr 2019"More than 18 years after its launch and the revolution it ... moreMusic went from physical to digital because of iTunes. iTunes wasn't even in Apple's interests to make money. It was for people to buy iPods. People moved to mp3s on mp3 players like the ipod. Look at Blockbuster vs the Netflix situation. iTunes was like that at the start and changed how we consume music, buy music, experience music. iTunes was bigger than you could ever imagine, and that's coming from someone that works in the music industry and has studied this.
