Steve Jobs will be "crying" in his grave. He will also be rolling as well.

iTunes is dead. Long live iTunes.
I am expecting in a few years at an Apple event to hear something like: We are very proud to announce a new feature coming to macOS: iTunes.
Joke aside, Apple is starting to focus more and more on software rather than hardware. Which is not a very bad idea all together. If they can manage to bring their prices down a little, it could turn out to be a good approach to things as we know them.

Steve Jobs changed the entire way we consume music, and the entire music industry with iTunes. Bye bye iTunes, you've lead the way for the new age of music consumption and distribution.
