Whackcar, 12 Apr 2019Meanwhile they're letting the real culprit get away. The re... morenope, Sony Z3+ and Z5 Series had no bootloop issue besides heating tho they somewhat find ways to lessen it by introducing HeatPipes and Downclocking or throttling the CPU. Also Lenovo made use of SoC 808 w/o bootloop of death issues but is apparent on LG V10/G3 Series.
In other words, its not only the Manufacturer but the Company/Devs that are liable giving out buggy both hardware and software.

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2019Great. So instead of holding all these companies liable or ... moreGoogle made just the OS, while the hardware was made by huawei. It's only logical to blame the manufacturer. Duhhh!
Probably their spying software is not compatible : Google vs huawei :))
Either way, I'm NEVER going to use or pay for a pixel (no SD card slot) or a huawei (I don't trust them). Only Samsung or Sony for me.
Yeah, not everyone is into china spying brands. Deal with it!

Great. So instead of holding all these companies liable or Apple for instance with Bendgate and touch disease.
Let's only attack Huawei with it and let everyone else of the chain. So they can continue doing it to us.
While huawei is the scapegoat of it all even though they are the ones pushing boundaries other companies are settling with

Meanwhile they're letting the real culprit get away. The real reason behind the 2015 bootloops were Qualcomm's pathetic SoCs (808 & 810). Nexus 5x, 6p, LG G4, V10 & few others were all affected by it.
Qualcomm is the one who should be sued here.

Bootloop.
I thought it was about part of the shell being plastic but advertised as full unibody metal.

Most hav... moreThat's the idea, they don't want to payout to those who have already moved on ;) This is why such things get dragged out far too long by the time the verdict is out it wont hurt Google financially or even PR wise. Nexus 6P is ancient news in the world of fast progressing smartphone launches. Google know exactly what they are doing. The real losers are the ones who keep buying Google's overpriced phones.

Ideally all owners should get the $400 instead of $10 that they are being offered. This is much worse than the Note 7 fiasco, and only because Google manages 95% of all information online, it has ensured that most people don't know about their rights. Samsung atleast replaced All Note 7 devices and Also offered huge discounts to all owners who bought the Note 7, for buying further devices. This lawsuit entitles only a few people, which in itself is unfair. Especially because information was hushed up or denied by the largest provider of information on the net.

Google pick the wrong business partner all the time. Huawei is a low-end brand on 2015, they switch back to LG on 2018 and still the phone lagging as hell.
I would recommend Google to work with Huawei this year. Despite quality and after-sales service is top at this moment.

POS, only a few will actually reap the settlement. Most have already moved along and got rid of that crap many moons ago. Thanks for nothing.
