      why people seems hyped about how thin this tablet? I mean it wasn't the first Samsung made tablet so thin. Back in 2015, Samsung made Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 with about 5,6mm thickness.. after that, Samsung never released thin tablet anymore until now..

          the commercial didn't show anything I couldn't already do with my phone or cheaper tablet.

            funny thing is... i want a 8" tablet to read OUTSIDE.
            I have a PC at home.

            Regarding the jack its truly a shame, but being honest, ive been using bluetooth headphones for 4-5 years now.

              It's a downward spiral, and I'm basically forced into choosing LG or Samsung phones.

                          Actually, pretty clever, sliding it under the door etc that is.
                          In reality, even an iPad Pro would not switch between apps that quickly and no kids I know would share, they would each have their own tablet.

                            Pretty decent specs and it will.ship on April.4?

                              Soon we will have tablet like galaxy fold.
                              20 inches unfolded and 10 folded and will cost 4000 bucks :-)

                                  I can see they're very proud of their thin tablet and they showcase it in a very unrealistic way. I feel like this family just sits around near a hole in the floor until they get the tablet. One day that thing will fall into the fan. Anyway, I'm seem to be "over" tablets, laptops do just fine

                                    I bought an iPad replica (read: cheap chinese android tablet) about 6 years ago. Problem is, it has no parts. So now it has batteries connected from the outside, so is a makeshift power button. Still, it could work for another 6 years based on my usage pattern. And I'm still happy with it.

                                    On the other hand, my friend's note 10.1 still has parts, so he still got it in a near-mint condition. And also based on his usage, it might still work for another few years.

                                      Still, there is MORE THAN ENOUGH SPACE for the 3.5mm jack as STANDARD for the price it offers. That is NOT A "GOOD" EXCUSE from Samsung. It is just akin to Samsung saying "COURAGE" like (Cr)Apple did it away with iPhone 7 in 2016.

                                        Would have bought 2 of these, but no 3.5mm jack on a media tablet?

                                        That is just stupid.
