Sound is good but it is extremely fragile. For the price it is not justified, mine started wearing and tearing in less than 2 months and sony service center denied any help too. It is 6 months and it looks like a disaster, the entire cushion is torn with normal usage with music and movies sitting in a room.

SHAZAMM, 16 Apr 2019buddy..trust me..that app does...there is a limiter in ever... moreI own the app. It's not doing what an amplifier and DAC would. It does boost the volume and so on, but yeah... Doesn't give you the benefits of actual audio hardware. It's an band-aid as its best, that's it.

SHAZAMM, 16 Apr 2019if you walking around with aportable amp...something is wro... moreNeither app on playstore can increase limited voltage and current output from smartphone's headphone jack.
Agree that during walking it's not suitable, but sometimes we really want to dive in the music, hear every frequency with cristal clear reproduction as producers intended, good sound stage and stereo separation especially when listening to live concerts.
When i listen to Scorpions Acoustica concert on open back headphones, i just cannot express the feelings woth words. You need to try and you'll never get back to these marketed headphones, you will learn that your life and your ears deserve more care and quality :)
For walking and running i think JLab Omni is fully sufficient and really good. It was around 70$ 2 years ago, supports Aptx all the time, have good punch and battery life.

scooter, 16 Apr 2019Another crap hits market with "bass" oriented. Please do yo... moreYeah. That's how you get decent sound quality. Not this bass-oriented mess. Music and movies surely need bass, but that's not all there is to listen to.

Another crap hits market with "bass" oriented. Please do yourself and your ears a favor, buy some affordable Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser or Audio-Technica wired headphones, invest in some budget portable amplifier and enjoy your music listening session in good and balanced quality.
I'm xperia user already for 6 years but never purchased their overpriced headphones.

Had a Sony phone for a few months. It had Poor build quality for a high price. Won't go for Sony again, headphones or anything. When the cheap ones are broken it's not as painful.

Anonymous, 15 Apr 2019I have two problems with these.
1. The Extra Bass monike... moreThey're usually better at sound isolation, thanks to that torture feature that gives a hermetically sealed compartment. Something very useful on the go.
High quality cushions can help a lot, using quality memory foam with identical pressure, almost no matter how you wear them. Though, getting used to the pressure takes time and of gets really painful at times.
I like on ear for the two points you made plus the superior sound isolation.

imparanoic, 15 Apr 2019these headphones are for the bass centric beats market, i p... moreDepends on what angle you're looking at it from. General consumer standpoint? Under 100 is probably low end and anything above is mid then the high ends consumer stuff tends to be around 300.
For people after enthusiast and professional stuff then I'm sure there are plenty of headphones for thousands of dollars but they're not your typical headphones and would very much be in the high end category regardless.

prasad-gsma, 15 Apr 2019That is precisely how market segmentation works. It's based... moreYes. For example, Sennheiser HD800s headphones cost about 1300 euros and going above that price, you probably won't get a "reasonable upgrade" - I'd say. But these 100 euros costing ones aren't expensive, let alone not even close to being high-end. The sound is what 100 dollars gets you, definitely not high-end.

Anonymous, 15 Apr 2019130 IS a lot for headphones. Just because there exists head... moreThat is precisely how market segmentation works. It's based on the range of models available in the market rather than what an individual can or cannot afford. While one could leave out the outrageously expensive ones, the fact remains that most truly good headphones only really cost above $1000 or so, with the merely good ones at around $400 or more. $130 is chump change in the grand scheme of things.
Most people have a flawed understanding of what good headphones should cost, which is based on flawed understanding of what good sound is. Most people are happy with the sound of cheap headphones and think $100-200 headphones are expensive. It's a flawed perspective based on ignorance and it's best if people learned what good sound really is and how much it actually costs rather than live in their bubble.
