prasad-gsma, 15 Apr 2019> thinking $130 is a lot for headphones > claiming o... more130 IS a lot for headphones. Just because there exists headphones that cost 2-3 thousand (such as Final Audio's headphones), it DOESN'T mean that 130 is entry level. It's mid-to-high end.

I have been using one, it's hurting my ears a lot. Not for long time music listeners. Sometimes it's sweat too. Sound quality is good though but not comfortable to wear.

      Pick one.

          Pick one.
GSMArena once again showing that they aren't really capable of reviewing headphones.
Would you want the headphones to be made of aluminum or glass perhaps like a smartphone? lmao...

these headphones are for the bass centric beats market, i personally would not like a bass oriented headphones as i prefer flat or slightly v shaped

I have two problems with these.

              1. The Extra Bass moniker always stood for mediocre, bass-overloaded sound, similar to the old-school beats headphones. They seem to have flattened it out with this one, but it's still not as good for every kind of music or just listening to other stuff like Youtube videos. This may be a personal preference thing, but it makes them less versatile overall.
              2. The on-ear fit, as mentioned, is rather uncomfortable. I think the author perfectly summed it up in the conclusion: Why should you buy a pair of headphones that you can't wear without it hurting you. On-ears usually have two advantages over over-ear headphones: price and portability. The ladder is not that much of a difference for me, and comfort is by far more important. And at $ 130, price is not an argument either.

I am not an audiophile, and such a person may disagree with me. However, from a technical standpoint, something like the CH700N is much more recommendable. They resolve the two issues of these, bass-heavy sound and comfort, at a lower price point. In my opinion, the XB-line should be put down finally, and Sony should continue to bring headphones that tick all the boxes, like the CH700N, to lower price points and improve the ones in the higher price brackets.
