hi, 11 Jan 2012yea should have done a test against tegra 3 but nobody know... moreYa, its so crazy how the market is goin to be fill with quadcore smartphones, and Intel launch a singlecore that beats everything in his way! Put a better GPU and Intel will be the king.

Will be getting the first Tizen Device regardless the carrier they choose. Intel just proved, that DUAL CORE IS NOT NECESSARY!!! Good show Intel, I'll be supporting you and your endeavors as long as you can get me a device to buy. Intel and Tizen FTW!!!

specially choosen tests! in different tests intel... moreyea should have done a test against tegra 3 but nobody knows when cortext A15 will be out or snapdragon s4 comes out
most new phone that are coming out like the galaxy s3 will most likly to use quad core cortex a9. a15 chips will most likly to be used in the q3/q4 2012 phones.
i wonder how the apps will run because their are not ready for intel 86x design

ARM sucks badly in terms of performance. For example in Peacemaker benchmark my AMD C50 @1GHz netbook scores 790 points, iPad2 374, Galaxy SII 255.
In BrowserMark AMD C50 @1GHz scores 191k, Tegra 3 @1.3 GHz 110k, iPad2 101k.

I remember being so excited from N900 times. Linux. And then came meego. I fantasized about the prototypes. And then nothing happened. And here comes another prototype.

Where do they take those scores from?
My SGS II on stock ROM (2.3.6) scores 1735ms in SunSpider and 92000 in BrowserMark.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2012This could probably be implemented into WP7 Tango, assuming... moreNobody understands. The only way to have gotten a much better browsing score for the nexus was to have black browser and or be much clunkier with much bigger battery. It's 4.65inch Super Amoled HD screen is new and more power hungry. Especially on web browsing. i'm not saying it's the best phone or anything but people are not taking in consideration what it's doing to be so drained.

Whoa. Intel's first strike into the mobile market is pretty great.
So great - it's a bit frightening to think about what they can do.

AnonD-2663, 11 Jan 2012It runs the same SGX540 graphics as the Nexus yet it tears ... morethe SGX540 on the Lenovo is clocked at 400MHz, higher frequency than that clocked on the Galaxy Nexus, also the Lenovo runs at 1024x600 vs the 1280x720 on the Galaxy Nexus, again making the Nexus more GPU/CPU taxing, so the browsermark which relies heavily on how fast it can render web pages should favor the Lenovo, this is not taking away from the Lenovo at all, its a good device, beautiful looks, beautiful size but the Nexus will always be at a disadvantage at anything gpu related.

AnonD-5950, 11 Jan 2012hah! take that dual/quad core fanboy! See what intel come ... moreI've been going through a few video first hands of the device, and one of them noted that it doesn't heat up at all, the particular handset had been running for a while and it didn't heat up. Still, no comments on prolonged usage, but it seems to be quite an efficient chip.

AnonD-5950, 11 Jan 2012hah! take that dual/quad core fanboy! See what intel come ... morethe intel SoC actually supports Hyper threading, so processing becomes multithreaded, so if the application is developed with multicore or multithread processing enabled its going to be efficient whether you have dual core, or hyper threading as hyperthreading allows it to act as if it were "dual core".

Jakuchu, 11 Jan 2012A single processor with better performance than the Dual Pr... moreThis isn't far fetched, Intel's x86 architecture is much more powerful than ARMv7 architecture. The only advantage ARM's RISC has over Intel is power consumption, as you can see here the single core atom in some cases beats/ties with dual core variants, intel would need to reduce wafer size and efficiency if they want to make it dualcore, either that or start using lithium polymer batteries instead of lithium ion battiers.
