Samsung Galaxy S10 5G has the best camera yet according to DxOMark

16 April 2019
The combined score for the rear camera matches the Huawei P30 Pro, but the S10 5G pulls ahead with a much better selfie camera.

Unless you telling me the P30 pro is worse than the Mate 20 Pro

          S10>P30 Pro>Mate 20 Pro

Someone doesnt realise its 2019 and better camera's are out now :D

Shadow Snypa786, 17 Apr 2019But nothing else Really funny :/Mi 9 uses larger sensor hence it can take in more light in the limited exposure period, that's why.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2019"Samsung does better selfies images" Source? Of course apa... morePhoneArena didn't say mention which of P30 Pro and S10 has a better FFC in any of their articles as far as I know. Gadget360 claims that P30 Pro has better selfie shooter than S10 though, and Android Authority and Techradar are saying that it's one of the best FFC/can capture far more natural colors than its rivals. I'm not saying P30 Pro has a better selfie camera than S10, but you can exactly claim the opposite neither.

                  "The s10 has auto HDR"
Which means unlike Apple or Huawei's solution, it's not always-on. It's triggered only when the phone decides to do so.

"No it still has high detail"
S10 uses super wide angle lens in the Super Steady mode, so of course it has lower details. Not to mention that it's unusable in low light.

"Hence why Samsung have shape correction to fix barrel distortion"
Even after the correction the image still comes out to be more distorted on S10 than P30 Pro. With S10 corners look more stretched and the edge to edge sharpness is lower, and obviously the lack of autofocus won't help either. In case you're wondering, I know all this because I own both the regular S10 and P30. Sure, S10 is clearly a better phone all things considered but the still camera quality is one area where P30 leaves S10 in the dust.

Shanti Dope, 18 Apr 2019"and the much hated Exynos 9820 can capture 4k at 150fps or... moreIf the chipset is capable, fine, but then how do you assume the camera is capable of the same too? Camera hardware must be compliant too, right? The data bus must have enough bandwidth.

Also, to know what our mobiles are truly capable of overall, why not use aftermarket software like OpenCamera app?
The last I checked, Open Camera has enabled a lot of stuff like 4K30 on Redmi Note 4, and even 120 fps slow motion vid on few phones....

And that begs the question as to why phone that use that SoC aren't capable of performing the task they're easily powerful enough to do so.

SD845 could handle 4K@60fps just fine, and there's no way the more powerful Kirin 980 couldn't do it.
Huawei simply didn't optimize the task to be performed by the chipset, but not necessarily means that it isn't capable of it.

Why are you posting DxOmark results? They're completely biased, and sometimes don't make sense at all. Why would I trust a company which is paid to write biased reviews?

2 - Samsung's Auto HDR is only for photos, in which I suppose the P30 Pro also has. Video HDR is something, and you could've bragged about the S10's HDR10 video recording for that instead.

3 - I say they are equal, but whatever you say.

4 - Barrel distortion fix somehow crops the FoV, but since wide angle shots are aimed at capturing more in the frame than more detail, then I'd take what you're saying.

Shui8, 17 Apr 2019Steady shot on S10 only available at 1080p. And on that res... moreThen that's good news. I do fins Samsung's Steady Shot to be too artificial, and quite obvious that it's just software-based rather than a hybrid of hardware and software.
P30 Pro's video stabilization in 1080p is really good, but again, the iPhone XS/Max is still to be defeated in video recording (apart from low light video quality, in which nothing touches the P30 Pro at the top).
I do find the S10's standard camera stabilization to be superior, only because of less jitters, but it's still not the best that I've seen from a smartphone.

x10 zoom is pretty much useless, since you will need a tripod or a stand to take a good photo, and if you are gonna carry a tripod just add a 100$ camera with real zoom and buy a phone with a useful feature.
