I rememember Nokia having originally projected selling 15 million Maemo/Meego devices by 2012... so a 37 million Windows phone volume is quite a staggering in comparison.

Its a huge volume considering that competitors have wp and android seems covers most of their sales. My perception is that there are overoptimistic or will have later a new developed surprise. Also, I feel lumias phones a little feminine, colors doesn't look for match with formal apparel. I can't figure Chuck Norris using one of them. I would suggest water resistant features and more utilitarian look. Lumia in Spanish has a not much used term for prostitute, maybe a L900 name would improve image.

Dont bash at Windows 7.5 without ever using it. Just try it. Its realy amazing phone. I m using Samsung Focus on windows 7.5 Mango. Also have iPhone 4 with me. iPhone4 external design is outstanding. It cannot be compared. But don't you guys ever bored with iOS interface? Its a fact. I would really say, windows phone 7.5, is lot lot better than iOS/Android. It works flawless. Very smooth. And UI on Super Amoled is brilliant. Peoples just don't be a fan-boys on any particular platform/brand. Just love to use the technology at-hands at its best.

nokia used to be the worlds largest cellphone manufacturer but over the years their fan base gradually deteriotating. Here in the philippines way back in time if anyone is using a nokia device you are "hip" but now its like an ordinary and blunt device. Most people here prefer to use device like Iphone and Blackberry and CHerry mobiles.. Fruit brands dominating the market here in the phil.

Sorry guys evethough nokia does have great phones without android they will be left behind.windows is very slow.and also really doesn't have any perks.i use to love windows.but when anybody tries android u become hooked because theres so much to do in the market and theres so many free downloads of apps that u can try and if your not satisfied u can remove the and try them again and again without really hackin your phone.just face it android is like being on crack its the best drug out there right now for phone users.

Most important thing is that android going to lose ground. Android killing mobile market and innovation. It's very hard to be successed phone market nowdays without android because android is so big and popular. Even if you have great products nowdays it's not going to get you far anymore, you need much more.

when it wanted to be on Nokia but Nokia refused, Because of it's Legacy & as a Different Player from Other Handset Makers.
Nokia chooses to go with Windows, because Meego OS was looking far behind from iOS & android, & it have to regain it's legacy in North America ( 32.4%in year 2004).
