For company is better if even a cheap phone can last many many years than die in year or two in worst case scenario faster than your warranty.
Well the old bussines creed says: If you are satisfied tell to your family and friends, if you are not satisfied tell to us. (both cases we means customers)
Both cases means if opposite happens noone of your friends and family will buy tzhat brand becauuse you were not particulary happy.

But i know many examples where even a budget phone lasted 10-12 years pretty easy.
Thats not dreams but reality.
All depends on how much you care for your device.
And every phone should be great enough to work without too much stress on user.

For my opinion a 4000 mAh is a must with a quick charger at least 15-20W.
Then at least 3GB-4GB of ram would be essential with at least 32GB of storage and 3 years of android OS updates with 5 years of security updates.
Andi assume using SD6XX for even a budget device with pricetag of 100.
Dual front and back camera at least 12Mpix with at most F2/0 and LCD screen.
From this starting point every other more expensive device should be better.

I woud tell them dont be so greedy.
Being numbver 1 in phone sales doesnt means you have to rob your customers.
I know you have a lot of expenses but robbing innocent people is not the way you should go.
Even a small revenue is a revenue and as long as you create profit you are good.
This i would tell me.
And as an example i would describe M20 price in India in euros and same phone for european price whichis clompletely the same but global version.
M20 in india is 149 dollar around 126 euros and price in europe is 219 euros i think for a same budget money.
The difference is huge.
Its like to get a bottle of coke from a 5star restaurant or from a small kiosk on the corner of a street.
Its a same coke same quality they maybe buy from a same warehouse but that small kiosk have lets say 0,30 cents oprofit on each bottle and a 5star retaurant have a 5 euros profit for same thing which cost for example 0,50 cents at warehouse where they both can buy.
Thats one of many examples i can use.

And i cant speak for Samsung.
For example i dont do any kind of sport activity appart from running on a morning bus to work and back.
So apps which are targeted to health and sports are not for me but lets say 80% of other people would disagree,

Haqving 10-20 apps fromm which i will use maybe 5 and the rest i cant delete because are part of OS its not my cup of coffee.

I was satisfied a lot.
But to be honest clean android without any UI is best for me.
Having no preinstalled apps or other bloatware in a phone seems best way.

Try putting any high-end flagship from 2019 in the freezer, and trust me, it'll most probably have the same results as the one shown here
