A few things Apple need to do
-Make Android to iOS migration seamless. Right now you stand to lose many of your settings, data and even WhatsApp conversation and files.
-Allow simple USB transfer of data via PC/Mac
-Bring back TouchID,
-Eliminate glass backs and notches
-Bring back small phones
-Put in some battery capacity -- 4000 mah minimum even in their smallest
-Make phones that don't need a case. There's no point in design aesthetics if they are all to be covered into a case, (but then, all OEMs do this)
-Make 256gb the minimum if they are so hell-bent on not providing memory expansion. Or just make 64gb phones and keep an mSD slot and increase their profit margin, since that's what they always want.
I wouldn't mind paying $1000 dollars if I know I am going to get software and security updates for years. But currently, Apple hardware makes it way too difficult and tied in to migrate from and to anywhere. The fact that their hardware is compromised doesn't make it easy either.

Carol, 18 Apr 2019So 45 Million is poor? Since when? Since they've dropped year over year for the past several years and since it's less than Apple predicted.

Hmm, it is still a very good net result after costs. Margins they make are massive.

Delic, 18 Apr 2019"No one wants their overpriced junk anymore." Except the... moreThey may be dominating in the premium market, but their market share has dropped like a quarter in the past three years, and evidently it'll continue to shrink this year. It's foolish to ignore those trends just because they currently have a bigger piece of the pie. They need to act.

Hopefully Apple's finally learned that people do desire small phones (at least a big chunk of their customer base). In the past several years they've gotten bigger and bigger, as their sales have gone lower and lower, with larger phones selling the worst. Bring back premium phones in the SE (or at least 6/7/8) size range.

I'd wager revenue taken a huge hit, too. XR seems to be the phone of choice. I guess their only hope is that it has higher margins.
The trade in offers they're a pushing super hard is interesting as well. Might keep their revenues up, but at a cost.

One day they want to upgrade and as long as they buy iPhone again Apple have nothing to worry, meanwhile they are getting billions from their users with their services.

They have gotten lazy and their phones show it. You look at the new P30 Pro and how it's trying to do something new and exciting, and the XS and especially the XR look ancient next to it. Something 2-3 years behind.

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2019Apple still sells a lot of phones, or, should i say, people... morePhones, regardless of brand or specifications, should be illegal if they're above 500 euros/dollars MAX. Spending a thousand on a phone is ridiculous.
