Even Sony (Ericsson) doesn't pay Microsoft any royalties, not just Motorola.

LG ? I guess they are desperate to sell their phones which doesnt sell well at all where I am from. LG should just make better inovetive phones to begin with Andriod or not and market themselves better.

Darkangels6sic6 , 13 Jan 2012That open os is better and has more users. Why? Because it... moreBeing open have more cons than pros. It means that anyone with malice and coding know how can upload a malware in the Android Market and start victimizing people. It's so open that crime gangs is targetting the Android platform by uploading bogus apps that appears harmless, do what it what advertised to do, and send your passwords and other sensitive info. Google isn't doing anything to stop it. They are just reacting to it after the crime. That's the biggest concern on the Android platform and being open is a double edged sword.

Keep in mind that the vast majority of Android users are not geeks. They are not aware of Google's practice of not checking the apps submitted. It is them who are the targets and potential victims.

Android is a flawed platform with no regards to security. Google isn't actively doing anything to stop the influx of malwares being uploaded on the official Android Market. For those people who values their security, look elsewhere.

WP7 offers the security that is needed in the mobile age. All apps were tested and certified by MS. Yes, it's a closed platform but it protects you unlike Android where there's so much freedom, cyber crime gangs are exploiting it.

Think of it like murder. Just because you don't know anybody who got murdered doesn't mean that it does not exist. The malware apps on the Android Market are out there. And it's waiting for its next victim.

AnonD-37627, 13 Jan 2012Microsoft is such an evil cooperation hopefully they die so... moreSorry bro, but WM7 will make them arise again from the dead. I used to think that they were dead, but when I picked up my first Andriod device I recognized it was nothing that a good OS that comes along will finish it off. I thought it could be Blackberry, as Apple was device and OS driven. Now I can confirm that WM7 will finish off android. Lets not argue, wait and see, by end 2012 android will be hardly used, unless google comes up with something out of this world. Not likely, but then who knows.

Magesh Kavungal, 13 Jan 2012100% never be. Think it practically bro. OPN S only good fo... moreThat open os is better and has more users. Why? Because its open. And still works at least just as good as the other os. All os types have flaws and set backs because there is no such thing as perfect. And it is still only rapidly growing and getting even better. Also has the strongest mobile phone. Also that with a really good android phone..just about anything possible on a mobile is possible. You can do anything. Freedom! Why pay for something to be told you don't own it? To be told what you can and cannot do with it? And to get less out of it and be restricted? Android is doing amazing. Its other os types with their extreme limitations that are gonna need something miraculous. Or a out of the blue super device and os....as long as apple don't try to sue by claiming they invented inventing. Pay off another judge and get away with it

AnonD-252, 12 Jan 2012Microsoft know that WP7 is so bad that they need to legally... morei have the lumia 800 for about a week now. Why is the OS so bad? I don't like that there is no option for browser at the moment, no skype client, no g+ integration in the people app (like for tweeter, fb) and the contacts were better on a symbian phone (total flexibility, matching outlook 100%)
so it is not perfect .... but BAD?! don't get me started on the others ...
I actually like it as a whole, the design aside which can be compared to ics ONLY, everything else just looks old.
I am not a fan boy (i have used the iphoney, win 6.5 devices, galaxy tab, nokias, etc) and WP7.5 is very relevant today as UX, features AND provides what others only advertise - the integration amongst MS products (media player/center, xbox, skydrive, office 365...)

Prominent people in tech are already starting to speak out against Android and Google's deceptive ways. "Don't Be Evil" my ass. At least Apple is up front about their systems and about their suing, annoying as they may be. In my opinion the hypocrisy of Google is worse.

                                Boo Android! Welcome WP7!

Both of them are successful in their own field and both have crappy products. Being number one doesn't mean a thing when the product is crap. Android is only semi decent on dual cores and it's complete crap on low-mid end devices. It lags on dual cores and it's even worst on single cores. I am not a fan of Android and I hate Google. It's the dirtiest company. They steal ideas and when they get sued, they cry like babies and starts accusing MS and Apple of trying to hamper "innovation". Google steal ideas, copies patented technologies and pass it on as its own "innovation". Google is a big company that tries hard to act like it's the underdog.
