i know that a hell of a lot of people use windows and therefore all mobile devices need to be able to connect to them, which is why microsoft can lever still more money from everybody, but why, since android, at least, is a linux product, is there no way to connect with a linux distro using computer for updates? Or is there, and i just haven't found it? When i want an update, granted few and far between, i have to go to a friend's computer...a nokia running symbian? Developers of linux?..hint hint!?.take care

AnonD-16334, 13 Jan 2012i wonder how do you stand still as a nokia fanboy even in 2... moreAndriod in comparison with what Windows is now is like chalk and cheese. WM7 is just out of this world and Andriod is now on the road to a beginning that will lead to an End. WM7 will be the OS that will finnish off android, unless Andriod can pull of something wonderful, and certainly not like what it has now. It has to be radical. blackberry is going down , unless BB10 is like I said it has to be wonderful. Groundbreaking. android is good, but very boring, and I never could use an android device more than a few hours. I guess that the saying " There is no free lunch " is correct, and those that are enjoying android OS are getting a free lunch.

Linux, 12 Jan 2012Nokia is dead, open source is the future...I became an Apple everything user and never looked back, never. The thought of using a Windows product terrifies me. But that has now changed, the WM 7 Mobile is simply fabulous, what a great OS from Microsoft, and this shows they have it in them to do it if they want. Try it, you will love it . As for the PC's I will reserve my judgement till Windows 8 comes out. If this is what Microsoft is capable off, then Windows * could be another winner.

forget about the" malware ridden" slang .i know thats your only weapon to hide your ego when your friends tease you or are you working at nokia? how old are you?beacause no body can be a die hardfan of nokia when android rules the world..
i know you will do your same job in the next forum! like the tail of a dog.ha ha ha

Linux, 12 Jan 2012Nokia is dead, open source is the future...100% never be. Think it practically bro. OPN S only good for only normal people with good option phone.
All others are only for upper standard-ed people. Now android is so up only because of the new one, If android will not gonna develop any other other standard UI! and not gonna clear any other important bugs!! They will gonna fall in market because Windows will gonna up with Nokia, will see on this 2012 quarter.

They like open source because it keeps them away from lawsuits when they copy something from other companies and by going open source it makes them look good to consumers.

Linux, 12 Jan 2012Nokia is dead, open source is the future...Come to think about it, Google is just like any corporation like Microsoft or Nokia.
They are making tons of money from us with more Android devices they could push more ads to the users with more ads they could ask more from the advertisers.
I would rather like to see balance in the market between WP, Blackberry, Android and iOS. They would be a win-win for us consumers. All of these companies will strive more to develop excellent software and hardware, plus also help lower these high price smart phones.

You guys bash MS, Nokia and Apple on a regular basis. I'm sorry but there are people like me who hates Google and its veil of deception. There are people out there who, like me, doesn't buy into Android's hype.

Anyway, Android is an ok product but many people are not aware of the back stories, and why people in the know in the IT industry hate Android, even if they are forced to use it.

Can anyone explain to me why is LG paying MS for every Android phone they sell.. if the functionality of the phone has something in common with one of windows then they should be pursuing Google and not manufactures..

aris, 12 Jan 2012how can Google be evil and want to make money from stolen p... moreYou don't get it. Google steals ideas and calls it "innovation", give the OS away for free and make money using ads and get info from you. That info they get from you is then sold to different companies. Google is trying hard to be like Robin Hood but Google isn't squeaky clean as you all thought it is. They don't care about other's ideas and patents and they will make a product that uses those stolen ideas and give it away and make money in a less obvious way.
Google is more evil than Microsoft has ever been.
