Bloodin, 23 Apr 2019Nope, it is indeed an official Mi store (actually 2 of them... moreLet me explain as I did before; The retailer decided the price. In this case it's Evofone in Turkey, although a lot of rumors go around about the credibility of your story, I can understand why you are frustrated. You should always start your complain in your front door, in this case Evofone. In an free economy this is very normal, the phone cost cheap in china (home country), but before it reaches you it becomes expensive due to shipping, taxes and profits of all involved, the more company's involved or the more step involved the more it will cost. Don't forget that the taxes in Turkey are like 30% higher compared to other country's and if you add the retailers profit you should understand why it's expensive

Recow, 23 Apr 2019I did some research and i read few claims telling that this... moreNope, it is indeed an official Mi store (actually 2 of them) because Donovan Sung is presented Redmi Note 7 and Mi 9 in Istanbul nearly 1 month ago, he revealed those prices and he said "They are indeed official Mi stores and we plan to open 9 of them in Turkey by end of the year, in most of the countries we have agreement with local retailers, all of European countries are like that, Spain and Turkey are two examples"

So they have knowledge about Turkey's Mi Stores and prices... And in both Spain and Turkey they have agreements with local retailers. Now explain to me? Why S10e is 720 euro and Mi 9 64 is 450 euro in Spain and why S10e is 650 Euro and Mi 9 64 is 720 euro in Turkey? There is a big mistake and this mistake is Xiaomi's if they have knowledge about it...

AnonD-762416, 23 Apr 2019That is the weakest spin job I've seen in a long time. If ... moreXiaomi gives premission to a company in turkey letting them distribute Xiaomi product in Turkey as a retailer, that means that the company can decide there own prices, which Is logical. It's a free economy and as Xiaomi you can't bend the rules in the Country. There is not much Xiaomi can do here.

I am from Bucharest, Romania and I can tell you for sure that that store is NOT an official MI STORE. It is an official retailer called Black Tech Group and not Xiaomi directly like in SPain or France. Their prices are not better also - same as other online romanian shops

So after all in Romania unfortunately we don't have have yet an official MI STORE

If the Mi stores are fake and Xiaomi is present in the countries, how incompetent is the leadership at that company? Too busy planting spyware to notice everybody are stealing their brand?

I only buy phones in-store and open them in front of staff, that way if the screen or anything else is malfunctioning after opening the box, you can straight up tell them to give you a new device. (defective screens and faulty sensors can happen) No arguing required as it's faulty by default, never had an issue since I started doing this.

It must has something to do with local procedures or taxes. There is no Xiaomi store in the Netherlands and the mi 9 costs 500 euro here.
I wouldn't blame Xiaomi if i didn't know what causes the high prices. In Turkey all phones are priced high anyway, but for the Xiaomi to be priced that high is really weird indeed.

It must be the retailers asking those prices from people, that's a known issue in Turkey. For example they buy the phone for like 400 dollar and then sell it for 800, also the taxes are playing a role here, but consedering the price of the xiaomi world wide this must be the retailers. To many people involved before the phone reaches the stores in Turkey, still people are crazy enough to buy those phones.
The minimum wage is like 2000 in turkey and a s10 plus cost like 6500, that is like more than 3 months of working. In the netherland minimum wage is like 1600 and the s10plus costs like 850, and i know i can get it for like 700. That means i can buy two s10 plus every month while someone in turkey has to work more than 3 months

What about prices? In Turkey, Galaxy S10e 128 GB (730 dollars) is way cheaper than Mi 9 128 GB (860 Dollars)... Xiaomi prices are ridicilous in Turkey...

Glad to see them open A store there its great to expend. Wonder if they would open stores in the U.S they could sell them as unlocked
