Only Apple's upcoming A 13 can compete with Snapdragon 855. Just imagine Sony phone or something with lightweight and well optimized interface with Snapdragon 855. It will beat any Samsung and Huawei.

So they made their own test which they call Speed Test G. Can find it in youtube. It will change our perception about speed test.

Sad facts, 24 Apr 2019Indeed lol.. fps based on rendering games will be more accu... moreBut those benchmarks are unreliable as well (not to that extend tho, just a little bit of unreliability
)
For example S7 Edge has higher benchmarks than A50 but both I (A50) and my cousin (S7 Edge) can play PUBG at HDR with around 28-30 fps. That said, Im not sure how long each one can keep going without getting too hot

Shanti Dope, 23 Apr 2019Annoying that Samsung didn't properly optimize the structur... moreyes! while in synthetic benchmarks they look like they leave dust to all other androids. in real life scenario it still feels like an iPhone 7 in terms of performance. which means it doesn't execute all it's prowess. if it was really well optimised then the title would've been 100% correct!

BigDisplay, 23 Apr 2019LOLI mean. SERIOUSLY. the Mongoose M4 has MUCH higher peak single core performance. it should be SHREDDING EVERYTHING on SIGHT! and it loses to the stock A76 inside the kirin 980... THAT'S why it's annoying. not because it belongs to samesung!

Walter C. Dornez, 23 Apr 2019Got a link?just look at any video of "Exynos 9820 vs Kirin 980 vs Snapdragon 855"... the battle is close graphically with exynos leading by just a teeny tiny margin. but in real-life scenarios videos the kirin is better. just look it up.

PartTimePhoner, 24 Apr 2019Ugh... I think everyone is missing a point here
Opening ... moreIndeed lol.. fps based on rendering games will be more accurate.
I always have a good laugh, when people doing speed comparison by opening and closing apps.
Especially one of these youtubers, compare S10 with Xs. He is not aware that in iOS there is a settings call Reduce Motion, which reduce launch time by removing screen animation.
Launcher opening closing apps is so unreliable. Its all based on each phone maker's OS animation settings. Some set 0.2 sec fade out, some set 0.5 sec slide in, so it looks smooth or graceful. IT shows NOTHING about the performance or capability of the phone.
Better see a benchmark scores to determine CPU strength.
But then again sad truth, open slow, means open slow. So bascially, if your fav phone makers decided to set 0.5 sec delay instead of 0.2 sec delay.. you are basically slower in your task lol.

Ugh... I think everyone is missing a point here
Opening apps faster is not the real performance. For example Try running PUBG at highest settings with anti-aliasing opened instead. And see if the phone stutters or reaches 60 fps even with those settings.
Because while s10+ can open apps, so can the entry level phones. But even midranges have hard time playing PUBG at HDR with constant 30 fps without anti-aliasing. Even My dads 5 year old s3 neo can open whatsapp fast. But he cant even play PUBG

Sure brand new SD855 will beat last year Kirin 980. No doubts about that. This is one of the facts of unjustified high price tag of P30 Pro and why I won't buy it. I hate the idea of over $1000 brand new smartphone with last year hardware. "It is still very fast and you won't see any lugs and slowdowns" is not an excuse. Just great camera is NOT enough for such damn high price!
