Shanti Dope, 25 Apr 2019This will be one hell of a radioactive phone! You know tha... moreRadioactive? How come? Phones only emit non-ionizing radiation. If you generalized all radiation as bad, then you should also avoid sunlight or eating banana because they also emit radiation.

Anyway, I admit that even if phone radiation is not known to cause harm to human, I am careful now not to let my phone to come near my head especially during phone calls. I always use the loudspeaker. And this "radiation" thing completely change my purchasing behavior for smartphones. Before, I always wanted to buy bang-for-the-buck phones (Xiaomi, Realme). But now, I only want phones from Motorola (even though I don't like their design and specs) because their phones' loudspeakers are front-firing, which is comfortable to use during phone calls in loudspeaker mode, so as to eliminate the need to place the phone near my ear or face.

Tae ng Pilipinas, 25 Apr 2019I don't know why you said honor phones are in the level of ... moreIn eu, Honor phones have similar price, like similar phones from.. Well Xiaomi (or now sub brand Redmi). Huawei, if you wanna good Huawei phone (for example P30 Pro) there is not much difference, between S10 Plus, iPhone XS (Max) and Huawei flagship. :D
But, at least they give (if you buy phone) free Huawei Watch GT (Active)..

But if you wanna best price of those Chinese phones, look at some websites, like Aliexpresw, Gearbest and similar.. For 100$ you get Honor phone with MediaTek processor (low end - A22), and for same money you get Redmi 7 with similar design, alao to big, also all plastic, alao 9 Pie out of box, but with bigger battery and Qualcomm processor. Chinese brands have best price in.. China, also delivery cost couple of $, just problem is you need to wait like one or two weeks for phone, but at least they all put 45$ (or 18$) price of the phones, so you eon't need to pay any custom duty :D

Price was similar anway of those two, even now Redmi 7 is about 100 euros, but its bulky, to big, all plastic phone.. But yea 100 euros.

I was a xiaomi user before, until realme came long, what really turned me off was the small batteries they started to put in their phones (redmi 6 user), which is really odd, since they've put out phones with 4000mah. I was thinking, they are doing this so we will buy their powerbanks. They also do not include a fast charger with their phones. Again, I'm thinking, they sell a fast charger at their mi stores. I sold the Redmi 6 and bought a Realme C1, and let me tell you, I've found more value in that than their redmi phones i bought from them.

For me, and for now, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is really good phone. Compact, have good enough processor, good Amoled screen, and for (only) 3070mAh battery, for some reason it last like for example in Note 7.. and its cheap, also available in global version. Only cons is no sd card support, and that Jack 3.5mm, but hey... For me, MIUI (10) is simple skin, it does not slow down after month of use, and also, at least i.. domt have any ads, but, refion is set to Germany, only, we need to turn off recomandation in Xiaomi own apps. I hope that this redmi will be similar to Mi 9, but with bigger battery, and even lower price :D

In the end of the day i think, this Redmi phone with top processor will have Xiaomi-made skin = MIUI 10.x.x.x..
But i hear that those phones with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor have good support in custom roms (for example Pixel Experience and similar popular) for those who don't like to set many options, functions, before use.

And why not.. do yo... moreYeah so users basically have to choose between spyware infested options, but some have clean and streamlined firmware while others have that atrocity where you can (and will have to) set up everything except what really matters and then you'll have to deal with the bugs and ugly design (though to be honest Google made clean Android look not much better in Pie).
I had a Xiaomi flagship (Mi 5s) and while the hardware was mostly great (except the lack of water protection and some quality issues, but it still had the best bang for the buck in terms of camera performance) the software was unbelievably bad. It looked and worked and behaved like it was put up together by a couple of enthusiastic students... no, they would have done that better, and XDA often proves that.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2019Well, it was also cheaper, so back then it was a viable alt... moreIt's not the matter of price that's the main issue here.
The point is, the Mi A1, just like the Nokia 6 2017, is also an Android One device, and it's just a necessity for it to receive Android updates earlier than non-Android One device, heck even as early as right after Google devices get the updates if possible.
And if we're to talk about price, then Xiaomi is just right at pricing it half as much since their software support is also half as good as their competitor.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2019Man that can't be because of the phone, please visit a doct... moreI was just messing around with those things.
If anything, the chart wouldn't be made if it weren't going to be useful to something. And that clearly means that radiation on smartphones is still something to take care of, regardless of how little it does to damage our human body.
You see, the Mi A1 is almost twice as much as the radiation emission of, say the Galaxy Note 8, which in itself isn't the lowest radition emission device in the list, and it begs the question as to why a phone that do things less powerfully is even safer to be used.
Come to think of it, the Mi A1 has inferior hardware components for radio signal transmissions like LTE networks as compared to the Note 8, so in theory, it must be the Galaxy phone that should emit higher level of radiation because of its faster components, but results say otherwise.
It's clearly evident that there's something wrong in the structure of the Mi A1, and that's something to worry about, since many people are going to use that phone, and so many people are also getting exposed to higher radiation than usual.
For people with strong immune system, the effect might not be damaging enough, but those who don't are at higher risk, and that's typically without them knowing about it.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2019Who knows, but you can look here, Mi A1 is number one, but ... moreThe main logic is that the Redmi Note 5 is a 2018 device, as compared to the Mi A1, which is a 2017 device, which means there were some changes made in the next year.
Still, it doesn't justify as to how big of a difference these two have in terms of radiation emission.
As for the iPhones, I pretty much don't care about them, so I don't have anything to talk about them.
