The videos ... morewe have had hd and fhd for sometime before 4k came. i understood the shift to 4k because really i myself am finding fhd is not clear enough, especially on big screens. now we have 2 4k tvs and one of it is 60 inches. yes, it is pretty clear and you can't see the individual pixels anymore. the only problem is availability of content. so, here we are still struggling with content and delivery of 4k (at least here in the philippines and i noticed this as well when we went to australia and the united states recently) and we already are preparing for 8k? i mean 4k is not even mainstream yet.

An externally quickly accessed card slot is a must, unless you want to carry around a wireless drive to continually backup video files to, or a USBC drive.

    Some people here think 8k footage takes up way more space than it does. Do the calculations on 50-200mbit/s (6.25-25Mbyte/s) and you will see its not too bad. However the lower you go in datarate the less good it will look and the more it will break up with movement. So 50mbit/s h265 is about the lowest you want to go, or 25 h266 or 100 h264 codec, but 4 times that much is still not the best quality. 100-300mb/s h266 is what to go for, but this new codec is hard to find. I might have used the wrong h265 figures in a previous post.

      All sounds like good and daddy but for me all this doesn't make up for monstrous size even if it can fly or something. SIZE DOES MATTER period.

                    I read in that Weibo source that it also supports 5G! It must have the SnapDragon X50 chip! Man, this phone is getting better and better.

                    BTW, as someone else pointed out in this comment section, can we get a webpage for this phone with all the specs? Some people here don't realize it actually has an IP55 rating, 32-bit audio playback (as seen on the Red Magic Mars), and 5G.

                        Kiyasuriin, 29 Apr 2019Agreed!!!! I would steal such a phone!You know, I was once able to play the three good open source rhythm games on a Note 3 Neo before it broke. Oddly nice size and grippy faux leather for BeatX, had a stylus for Opsu! and a big oleophobic-ish screen for Cytoid. Those were the good days...

                        Now I'm just doing BeatX on a Lenovo A6600 Plus (Mom got it for cheap). Those beatmaps double as my playlist so guess it's cool

                          For about $400 it's a great value option especially if you're in the US but the only problem with this is that it's from ZTE who are notoriously bad at software updates

The videos we record today may be seen by our children or grand-children down the road, and so the footage we have should be recorded at the highest quality possible so that it doesn't look bad to our young ones who will probably watch 32K videos or something in their time.

                              This sounds really good at that price; even if you don't care about gaming features that's a great value for something with flagship-level specs and a screen like that. The only thing I'd prefer would be to have a smaller version, but otherwise this is one of the closest releases this year to ticking all the boxes imo.

                                Lol! that 8k video recording is just only a gimmick and then when you watch it on that phone the results is like 1080p coz the phone it self doesn't have 8k screen.

                                people nowadays is satisfied on a 1080p.
