They generated a lot of news coverage and awareness of their brand, it's not a "spectacular failure".

Yeah you can already see why this wasn't going anywhere. Larger battery? Cool.

Heavy, too thic (trouble putting it in your pocket), no 3.5mm jack, pop-up camera (moving parts = easier to break).

Going to extremes isn't necessary, cut it down by two thirds and you still got a 6000MAh battery, still larger than most phones on the market. Combine that with a vanilla android experience and some slick features (perhaps over 2 or 3 models) and i'd buy it.

But that's completely irrelevant, there's still a balance between having a big battery but not having a 40mm thick phone. Remember, power banks exist. Just take one with you when you're "out in the field" probably still less combined thickness with a phone like Lenovo P2 or Mi Max 3 than this Energizer monstrosity

Few reasons IMO why it failed..
        • it's 40mm thick. (if not more).. and still has a bulge...
        • No headphone jack. FOR REAL. I would understand if it was 6500 mAh in a 9.6mm thickness. because battery takes almost all possible space. but 18k in a 4+cm thickness? you got aplenty of space to place that sound hole thing!
        • given it's size. you can safely place even a 21k mAh battery if you don't want a headphone jack.
        • No selling readiness. -_-'

Phones these day dont last a full day for me.

All that girth and no headphone jack and a camera bump to match mount Everest

They killed this by not having the confidence to manufacture and sell it straight on Amazon and other retailers. If you hype something up, you sure as hell better be ready to sell that thing straight away to the consumer and collect your dough. If you think this industry is a joke, go ask apple about their Air Power stunt and then slap yourself in the face back to reality.
This company thought that they could pond skim a brick, they couldn't.

Cant stand companies going to fund me system rather then make it and make it avaliable globally.

I would have loved to get my hands on this.

They should rather come up with powerbank cases for existing phones.

If Energizer wants to do something right, here what they need to do: offer Note 10 Pr0 5G with 15K battery. See how people will take it. They can either send dummies to stores everywhere for people to try it, or try and see if people are interested on surveys. But I am not buying anything less than a flagship

18000 mAh on a phone that size is kinda dumb. A hilarious marketing stunt, but still kinda dumb. 30-40mm thick? yeah, that's just plain hard to hold.

But cut it in half, you have a solid maybe. 9000 mAh at maybe 15-20mm thick? Some people will want that.

Cut it in 1/3. 6000 mAh is still double many high-end phones. If they can get that to 10-14mm thick, that's perfectly fine. That bit of extra thickness isn't a big deal, but that much extra battery IS a big deal. A perfectly reasonable trade-off that i'm sure a lot of people will actually want.

5 Ah lithium better waits a tad more than 100 g, no one wants smartphone that's all together heavier than 200 g. This means magical limit is around 6 Ah. A 1.2 cm thick one 5.7" traditional 16:9 display files the rest of the physical acceptable optimum.

No one wants a phone thicker than 10mm max. So they should just try to see what's the biggest battery they can fit in that. Judging by some of the phones on the market. I'd say probably 8 or 9k. For reference the Mi Max 3 had a 5.5k battery but is only 8mm thick

Because who the f***ing hell would use such device on a daily basis?
This is just one example of "Anything too much is dangerous."
If all they're after with this product is attention-seeking, then it's a success, but I hope that it gets to their minds that nobody would use this thing in reality, even for free.
Because why? This thing's too bulky for an average person to handle, and that fact alone already makes it invalid for daily usage.
Let's just say that this thing is a power bank with a smartphone screen.

Energizer should work on graphene battery instead. Put that in Indiegogo not this chunky boi. What the point being a battery manufacturer but innovating on phone that nobody ask for. We asking for graphene battery. Come on.
