Most people who bought an iPhone doesn't even know the specs and features of the iPhone, and use barely 20-25% of it's capabilities. They bought it because it's popular. It became a fashion detail. Features and capabilities doesn't matter. Most of the people will use it just for calls, texting, net browsing or taking photos. You can do these things with every phone. But not every phone have an Apple logo on it's back. And THAT is the strongest feature of the iPhones.

Sure, i believe iPhone is the best selling phones per-series everytime. Only if you counted it for each single series. Also, I don't see any sign of its declining after all.
If we counted iOS as the whole ecosystem, Android would still win because there are more poor people in this world than those who could afford this.

Wether we hate it or love it, there is one thing for sure - one cannot ignore iPhones.
For someone who says that survey is fake, then he/she needs to prove what is correct. If survey is fake then OPPO in phones in top 5 in China cannot be true. So now who is paying for fake surveys????? Why would Xiaomi pay for survey to keep it's low end phone Redmi 5A in top 5? Would rather pay to keep it's flagship in top 5.
I think it takes honesty and maturity to accept the facts as it comes. Sometimes fact is more dangerous than truth.
If Apple is crappy, then why is it in top 5? If Samsung, One+ is better than Apple, why are they not in top 5?

Price increases, restrained battery life, pointless extra cameras, inconvenient FaceID, no headphone jack, worse audio quality, more fragile construction, increased parts and service costs, more and more hostile AppStore practices- great points. That's I don't join i-sheep bandwagon. If people think they can buy anything they want, they are the economic criminals of human growth.

I can see 2 tiers of iPhones.
FaceID version and touchID version. FaceID will upgrade once per year, TouchId upgrade once in 2 years.
The TouchID is the cheaper versions. XR being the entry point to FaceID version.
Doing that, i see Apple having no reason to reduce their price. They will only lower when the product they sell is like say 3 or 4 years old without upgrades. ie iPad mini 4.

I think the reason why the XS Max sold fairly well was because of the rise of mobile games, or simply because there hasn't been an iPad mini for a while. Android manufacturers saw this the bad way and decided to offer a ton more phablets over phones
But now that almost every Android "phone" is a phablet people started to lose interest. They just want... a phone duh. The only exception is for the big markets like India and China where the people are more spec/price-conscious than size-conscious
In the end though, I just hope they follow this more sensible "phone" approach/trend like Samsung's S10e and Apple's non-Max phones
