It appears that this one isnt coming to the UK afterall. According to Recombu,Samsung have not confirmed a UK release for the GS2 HD so bad luck if you were planning on upgrading to this soon.

and they're palming apple for releasing iPhone 4S... at least the 4S has more features than the 4 when comparing SII to SII HD.. I'm using Galaxy Nexus right now and to be honest I like the SII camera.. so, maybe I'll grab SII HD for the sake of speed and lens

the only reason this is being announced is that sony is releasing its 1.5ghz dual-core processor HD display flagship. the s3 won't show up just yet because the quad-core proc are not ready yet. so i think sony will gain on samsung with the new xperia.

This thing is actually weaker than the original S2. It uses an Adreno 220 instead of Mali GPU and same goes for the CPU...

the GPU is a let down in the SG2... it's just not complete it's a bit of a let down..

having said that, still impressive though :)

Samsung needs to release handsets with so much emphasis on the hardware because that's the only selling point they can do to stay with the competition at higher end models. System wise, it's all the same that you can get from the first galaxy variant. No software innovation, they are just dependent on what are the new upgrades from Android in which only mediocre improvement. Look at the improvement from Honeycomb to ICS, some still prefers older versions. What kind of upgrade is that, huh?

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2012How can they support so much phone models properly? Quantit... moreThis is still effectively the Galaxy S2 so it is classed as the same model and due for the OTA ICS update at the same time as the regular S2. As I said earlier, this is the very last variant of the S2 before the ultimate unveiling of the Galaxy S3, if it will be indeed called that. You can damn well bet that leading up to MWC 2013 next year, that Samsung will be releasing 20 different versions of the S3 before they reveal the S4.
