Redmi K20 Pro might be the name of the upcoming flagship from Xiaomi's sub-brand

06 May 2019
It's definitely not going to be called Redmi X, but is Redmi K20 Pro really a better name than that?

Sort by:

Better name?? Its a random name, totally out of the blue....!

When did K10 launch? And how do we have a "Pro" when there's no base "K20" itself?

WTH is going on, can anyone explain?

But at least if only name is matters.. Xiaomi K20 Pro sounds better than Pocophone F1, and i hope so that will be even better phone (with better 855 processor, with more mp front and back, with alu or glass back, with Amoled insted of IPS LCD, smaller notch.. etc) if Pocophone was a good (and still is) device, for such a great price, this one will be even better if they priced it around 300-350$

So all these praises for accuracy etc is short lived also due to the fact that these Samsung oleds price / quality is not being compared to IPS at the same quality

Shadocx, 07 May 2019Sorry, but I can't believe you. Enjoy your LCD, I'll enjoy... moreBoth OLED and IPS LCD have their pros and cons. OLED better dark colours, battery drain is also way better. IPS LCD better colour accurate (at least LGs IPS), better at long term usage (mine still 0 pixels dead after 5 years) The main problem for OLED is burn in but its something that happens in some cases not at every OLED panel (but still happens). LCD battery drain is the main problem here you have to use really low brightness and still wont come close to OLED. LCD screens also usually have some bleeding around the corners.

Least, no the trhnology didn't improve over the time, at least for avoiding butn-ins and colour tinted over time.
It remains a colour innacurate, battery drain display that developes burn-ins and dimming and colour tint over the time.

The burn in are real, just that it depend on luck.
Mostly people that doesn't turn screen to maximum brightness, and also doesn't turn on the screen that much will not have issue.
But for gaming, that might cause issue, it really depend on situation.
I mostly observe these screen burn on demo unit, where screen brightness is set to max, then the phone run the screen demo ads for more than 8 hours a day. I observe these screen burn on all AMOLED screen, including those from Huawei, OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi (sorry, no LG at my country). So, there definitely has potential to encounter screen burn in with AMOLED, just that on normal usage, it doesn't happen due to user usage pattern, but still can be potentially occur.
There are people facing these issue, then go for replacement or warranty.
Some didn't get replacement and they get charged for expensive screen replacement cost.
So, please don't try to defend a technology that has flaw.
