It's only been 3 years... what's even so amazing about it. This should have been a minimum requirement for any phone. What a sad state of affair.

I own phone and couple of months back it was updated to Android 8.0 so really surprised Samsung has updated the OS to 9.0. Good on Samsung to provide decent upgrades to their device for once.

Probably worth pointing out that the On7 Prime has a model number of SM-G611, and was launched a little over a year ago, while the J7 Prime has a model number of SM-G610 (and is much older, as the article states). They're not variants of the same model, they're different models with pretty much identical hardware. While they may look and feel the same, I will be pleasantly surprised if Samsung upgrade the latter to Pie.
