In India M20 samsung cost 126 dollars but european price is 240 euros.
Samsung gave this price to be competitive to brands as xiaomi.
But xiaomi sells also in europe so why 240 euros for a phone which can cost 126 dollars and still makes profit??
If xiaomi sells in all countries as samsuung???
I am hearing your explantation.
And about S9+ and my statement before. If companies like Huawei and Samsung give up on apple pricing and sells for half price apple will reduce its cost too.
Noone is interested in a IOS based phone for twice or 3 times as much price as top competitors such as Huawei or Samsung.
Imagine how many apple fans would buy Samsung or Huawei instead of apple if S10+ or P30 pro will have a starting price of 549 euros instead of 1000+.

It is number 1 seller in a world, they cant just suddenly drop price it would not make sense, even we would love that as customers, but it is not possible, thanks to Apple. Apple employed this tactics, and top makers like Huawei or Samsung had to do the same to maintain brand poshness.

Brand S9+ had manufacturing price of 379 dollars which is 320 euros approximetely. And in shops the starting price were 999 euros. (Also english not my main language i am from Slovakia.)
But just 6 months later one month before Xmas even in Samsung store price were 549 euros for S10+ and S9 cost 449 euros.
Just half year after half price. If 320 is raw making cost and other expenses as you called market and sold for 549 and Samsung still makes the huge profit.
My question is why was neccessary to sells it for 999 euros or the most expensive model for 1649 euros if even for 549 euros Samsung made a huge profit.
The innitial price should be 549 and they could have the best selling phone of a year.
Robbng own customers is not very good way how to make a profit and being good and stable phone brand.

You forgot about taxes, employment even electricity needed for making this kind of phones. And also forgot Samsung (and every other company) dont sell directly their phones, they sell them to wholesales (im not sure im saying it right not native language english) and then they sell them to stores and then the stores sell them to you. Every phone has been sold 3 times before you buy it and every single one of them are trying to earn money from that phone. And thats call market. (You also compared it with the top of the range model 1TB, why not with the lowest which is the 128 gb which right now is for sale at 750 euros in my country).

When you work for some company I believe you are waiting and even expecting that your salary will be increased if you will work good. Where do you think companies can get more money?
And big difference between Samsung and Chinese brands is that Samsung investing a lot of money to develope products, invent new things. That's a huge cost.

S9+ brand new costed around 1649 euros in most shops and samsung stores here in Slovakia hence the manufacturing cost were 379 dollars which was just a little bit over 300 euros. Just 6 months after 6 weeks before Xmas in samsung store they had a 549 retail price. In most other shops price range was from 460 euros up to 1300.
If Samsung just 6 months after initial sale can reduce price on their main flagship by 1100 bucks and makes a profit we can agree on that samsung is greedy company and they dont have hogh expenses they just needs to rob they customers when they can and then put price down because they filled their hunger enough to not starve until the next flagship is released.

When comes to i... moreSamsung is not earning 400-500. First of all Samsung have their own engineers and many other departments which helping to successfully sell phones. It's not like they just make phone put profit and sell.
Chinese brands started different (basicaly like everything in China) - copy and sell cheaper because less expenses. Then Chinese companies started to grow and needed to start to hire good engineers, marketing people etc. That's why also their prices start to go up and will go more, because not everywhere they will be able to use cheap Chinese labour.

S10+ cost 320 euros to make and sells for 1650 which is 5 times more in price cost.
S9+ brand new was same about 1650 euros and at Xmas in samsung store it had a price tag of 549 euros.

Yes Xiaomi has somewhere between 20% to 30% which is a lot less but they have ads built in their phones and earning money from there as well. If you wanna a company that can innovate and build good quality smartphones you must pay my friend. Samsung tries to develop this kind of technology (Curved Screen) for like 10 years now, when Xiaomi comes takes a sample and copy it. Apple earns 90% to 105% on their devices for Huawei i am not sure but i guess is somewhere between 40% to 60% maybe a bit higher. And dont just count how much cost the internals of a phone and how much you buy it. Internal costs, manufacture costs, taxes etc etc etc.
