AnonD-731363, 11 May 2019Man compared to Samsung chips even the mediatek is better :-)Does Mediatek operate a semiconductor foundry? After GlobalFoundries backed out of 7nm process development, Samsung/IBM is the only real competitor to TSMC, and historically TSMC has been superior.

Anonymous, 11 May 2019Apple are getting so much credit for all "invention" they'r... moreLet's say they didn't invent something or innovate it, but their own execution is so much better and far more usable than those who initially started it.
Ever wondered why after Apple introduced Portrait Mode, all of a sudden every Android OEMs finally made very good background blur, which wasn't the case before?
They didn't make the fingerprint sensor, but their own version worked so much better, to a point that it's very usable, as compared to being a gimmick on the original one.

Remember when Samsung introduced to us the Super AMOLED display? Oh gawd was that a mess of a good technology!
And Apple's first use of OLED? Fantastic! iPhone X's display, despite being a first generation, was easily among the top 3 of the best in the business, while Samsung's first OLED was filled with issues enough to remove it from the top 10.

I can go on still, but the point is simple. And this is coming from an Android user and not being biased towards Apple nor being paid by anyone anyhow.

Apple are getting so much credit for all "invention" they're doing, and how amazing technology they can build phones with, but the reality is 95% of their products are made by other, actually innovative companies.

Chinese companies were doing that before they become big "marke players". In China you still can get copies of all flagship phone models.

And I didn't know Apple didn't know about the idea of having notch on Essential Phone as soon as leaks were published and didn't already follow the news months before releasing the Essential Phone to see they have a notch.
Dude do you really think Apple just did wait until the exact release date and then decided to STEAL the notch? What about they already new months before releasing the Essential Phone, that they will have such a think and they decided to STEAL it and brand it for their selves (unofficially)?

AnonD-771260, 11 May 2019How can you steal something when it is available for everyone?Don't ask me, ask people those complaining about android manufacturers copying/stealing Apple innovation (Never seen a single real innovation from Apple since years).

In fact, back in the day when Apple dual-sourced A9, TSMC version turned out to have marginally better performance and significantly higher energy efficiency than its Samsung counterpart.

Like before iPhone there was windows phones which were almost impossible to use normally with fingers. And look what apple did. Give them a credit for starting to make normal smartphones even if idea wasn't anything new.

AnonD-731363, 11 May 2019But yes it is. agree or not you cant change the truth.Lol whut?!
It had nothing to do with who manufactured the SoC, rather who designed it in the first place, and also at what node size the SoC was manufactured.
Of course 28nm TSMC SoCs are going to be throttle-prone chipsets, just as any other 28nm SoCs made by different manufacturers.

iPhone 7 Plus's 16nm Apple A10 Fusion SoC, built by TSMC, doesn't throttle so heavily.

And the truth? The only truth here is that you're spreading false information to the public.

Of course they stole it from Essential, just around three months before they had to start building the phones they decided the notch design and asked if Samsung can build that kind of screen which needed. Sounds very likely right? :D well just maybe it takes a lot longer time.

Also let’s not forget the fact that we saw iPhone X leak already in april

No, the manufacturer of the chipset is nothing to do with whether CPU/GPU is prone to throttling or not.

Apart from IOS and Logo they havent anything truppy own.
Everything which apple made was here before created by some other company.
Apple just make own improvements and created own product.

Having an improved battery lufe is nice idea but not in phones which until last year didnt had even a 3000 mAh battery.
Unless apple will have 5000 mAh battery their phones are complete useless.
And even with 5000 mAh battery apple lightning connector is another obsolette thing.
If 3000 mAh battery is charging 4 hours then 5000 mAh would be charged maybe 7 hours. Very funny.
By the way fastest chips doesnt means best. TSMC are famous for throttling. There is no case or even rare case where your chipset will go full speed all the time.
