I love Sony phone, but they're too expensive atm.
Im working hard and I know the value of money.
I'd rather buy $300 last year flagship and then change it 2-3 years later than buying $1000 phone.
That way I have $700 for my business while still enjoying flagship phone.

Phone will cost 870 euros across EU through official channels with some 40-50 euros off for a street price. Wait for six weeks and it will see 120 off on street.

Gsma said those headphones are a bit pricey,but they cost roughly the same as Bose QC 35 and they're both great.On the other hand you have that Beats plastic crap and those cost the same..Xperia 1 is thousand euros?Everybody's charging that these days,why Sony wouldn't?

And after the promotion ends, by magic those 700 euros to know where they got that number, perhaps without taxes and other additions... will become 1000 euros or a near 9XX price.
What can be possible and always happens is that if you change your telephone operator (carrier), the new one you hire may have special offers for those who migrate to them for several phones. With luck the Xperia 1 could be one of them.

Z2, X Performance, and XZ Premium were same story.
Other companies finish and start mass production before the event, so they can sell on same day or few days after.
Sony takes to event far from being finished prototypes, they keep working for months, then start production.

And from experience, during the purchase check that indeed the headphones are included in the purchase invoice without extra charge. Because if they are limited to a certain number of units. Even if it is pre-order equal you are only end with the phone and nothing else.
After the pre-orders end, the phone will cost 1000 euros equally but without the headphones. And it seems that not all countries will receive the 6GB-128GB some will only have the option of 6GB-64GB. Too expensive but even more if you only can purchase the 64GB model in your country.

I've seen it in the preoder in an operator in Denmark for 700 euros + headphones for free for 300 euros, with 2 years of permanence. it's a good deal, surely in Europe it's the same

Price is high, but not higher than Samsung or Apple's flagships and while Sony might not be such a big name in the mobile industry, in technology overall it is not weaker than either of these companies because of the variety of high quality tech they make, such as cameras, headphones, car audio systems etc.
