The reason why scratching it is not pointless is because you can actually see what the effect is. How visible the damage is. This is most noticeable in his iPhone XR test where he scrapes the edges of XR and just makes a scratch without blade biting into aluminium frame. Where with most others that use 6000 aluminium, it bites much deeper. You can actually see it yourself, not just "oh it scratches" and that's that. Or cutting into plastic bits. This tells you if it's solid plastic of same color or painted. It's not stupid if you can pull useful info from it and it's very helpful for me. He also bent the Xiaomi Mi5 which snapped in half. But after watching his video, I decided to buy it anyway, because despite knowing the flaw, I never wore it in pocket to bend it like this. And it really doesn't matter the force he applies. He applies the worst case scenario. If phone snaps in half right away, it's just that. If it doens't, you can always see him try additional absurd force as much as he can to see if it'll ever give. And if phone still doesn't snap in half or delaminate, then it's unlikely it ever will. Expecting him to try camera 300.000 times is silly. He did test the accelerometer retraction of camera, maybe he'll try it in an actual drop test later.

This phone is a lot better device than anything you use.
And the Zac Nelson is person with a very good reputation.
Why you dont make own tests like Zac maybe you get popular as well one day.

Well because we dont know the price of a Redmi K20 this is the best flagship of 2019 for now.
At least is a lot better than S10 or Sony 1.

I'm really starting to feel allergic to the JerryRigEverything's testing method though:
Screen scratching: surprise surprise, scratches at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7.
Body scratching: surprise again, plastic and metal scratches, glass doesn't. But yeah lets make half of the video about scratching every side of the phone just to make sure.
Burning test: Literally nobody cares
Bending test: Depends on how big Zack's breakfast was. He has over 3.6 million subscribers and he still couldn't come up with more objective way of bending? You could build much more objective bending test device for 10$ using two pieces of wood, a string and a set of weights. But, then you couldn't collect the easy money from phone manufacturers for not trying hard enough in it.
With OnePlus 7's advertising everywhere I believe they gave some money to Zack as well, considering he didn't even bother to test the durability the pop-up camera, and instead just advertised the OnePlus' 300.000 uses claim.

They litterary buying the whole phone from a chinese Foxconn company what a shame.
