I know people like Xiaomi(particularly Indians) for jaw dropping aggressively cheap value for phones but its never been for me,i find their build quality very poor and the Ui even worse and am not a custom rom person because i want to use my phone as it is without the cons of that..been wanting to give it a try but hard to buy and fix in the us and the ads just killed it for me..

I've used MIUI for 2 years, my phone was Mi 5. I love the small system app updates and MIUI updates. MIUI has matured a lot in version 10 but I'm not happy with ads displayed inside certain system apps. Other than the ads display, I was happy with MIUI.

Unless this Redmi is getting global bands, I don't think Xiaomi should talk considering they only give the US the Mi Mix series and those don't even have some of the LTE bands that have expanded here (bands 46, 48, 66, and 71 for example). Just because their phones are cheaper don't mean EVERYBODY can use them. Here's hoping they recognize that.
