R & D takes a lot of money. How long do you think these Chinese manufacturers will survive? If you look closely, they are also increasing their prices slowly. Oneplus even states that making a phone IP rated is expensive. Samsung has definitely lost the plot in the lower midrange segment, but still, they are gaining. Now, I am not a Samsung fanboy or anything. In fact, I kind of still do hate Samsung for my Note 4 feud. Anyway, still, I think Samsung offers a far better customer service experience and reach to customers.

Panda eyes, 15 May 2019Is the processor the 7885 or the 7904? Depends on the region I believe. But honestly the two chips are extremely close in performance that you will notice differences in benchmarks only.

My friend bought A 40. Really bad phone. Lags out of box. It feels like cheap phone with 1GB ram but it has 4GB ram.

In present world where expenses rise more and faster than Salary all and only that matters is price.
Thus the Xiaomi is winner and samsung or any other simmilar expensive company can go nuts.

Another thing it have enough power and battery to be compared with any of A series maybe apart A80 and A90 which for that 600 euros price people can rather buy Mi9 or Mi9 explorer which is a lot better faster and cheaper device.
No need to pay overpriced samsung device.

Anonymous, 15 May 2019no doubt, the A series of this year are impressive.Yes, huge improvements, I don't care about IP68 and metal build, I prefer having a big battery and sAMOLED screen with a good processor.
This is why I chose A50.

Those are atractive phones buy they must improve their cameras at its prices if they want to compete with the best mid-rangers. Too much difference with their flagships. And some models are still high overpriced. Only the cheaper ones become more noted in the market.

[deleted post]Well yes we are a relatively poor country but do remember we don't get contract phones. We have to buy phones outright. And you get plenty of $80 phones as well but we don't mind paying a bit more for quality. We have some Indian brands which bring ultra cheap Chinese phones but they have practically shut down in India as people don't mind paying more for quality.

The A series is like a versatile line where you are not limited to the capabilities of A50 as you can get a better phone that will suit you like A80 perhaps or if we are looking for a second phone we can select the A10 or A20. peacee
