I'm not Indian but Apple is underestimating the market in India. It's all about value despite the growing number of wealthy Indians. Most Indians will shame those who pays for luxury, expensive stuff especially tech products.

Truth is, the reason Apple Iphone doesn't sell much in India is because, like other western countries their is no contract & monthly payment plan with service provider. People get it on credit card installments & get sim card separately from service provider. Unless your super rich no one will like to pay higher interest & taxes for the devices which are not even up with specification available as per market standards & exorbitantly priced. No doubt Oneplus is very successful in India, people wanna spend their money on high end, exclusivity & get something top notch in terms of specifications.

For $382, you can get buy excellent brand new phones from brands like Honor, Xiaomi, BBK & others.
You'd have to be a hardcore Apple fanboy to even consider this ridiculous deal.

I have one and the sad fact is it run better than a lot of recent Android phones. In fact, I pretty much only buy mobile games on iOS because Apple run them smoother.

Why Apple never grows up its size? 4.7 inch is not a screen size for the present times. It may be cute in size but should serve the purpose. When people watch a lot of videos daily. When the entire world is heading for something fascinating, the apple only takes it as prestige to still continue production of 6S. To reduce its cost after 3 years of its launch, they found a new way to manufacture 6S in India to keep its price low. Apple has to think something innovative now and set a trend as to stay in the market, as they already lost a big market. Also that brands like Oppo, vivo, one plus are sweeping the market with new models attracting all walks of people.

Just make this product with slight twist: larger battery, less bezel, updates specs wherever possible, vanish antenna band in the back ...boooooom... will smash the market with the price you're asking.

I already have developed apps for iOS as part of my career and sometimes as work too, so i know very well how it works. And is not my choice for personal use. That's all.
Good luck selling this outdated phones in India. I'll be interesting watch the face of the customers that buy this phone after discover the low quality of its camera compared with today mid-rangers:

So perhaps you need an iPhone but if you look at the market share in the world. Apple is only a portion of it and the majority of phones in number sold around the world are Android ones.
Good try but no thanks. A like how Android works and the freedom i have with that OS. For watches, yes, Apple sell more in the smartwatch market followed by Samsung but i love the sports, for swimming, serious training , run ultra trails and long sport weekens i choose Garmin and other specialized watches that do the job a lot better for me in that area and already have smartwach features. And along the time sure that they'll even add more. There are rumors that Huami is preparing a really good watch for this year too. So we will see how it's too.
