19 May 2019
The phone launched on T-Mo US this Friday, is available for purchase in India and is coming to Europe next week. Any takers?

interesting that it comes with UFS 3.0, and the phone looks amazing, better than the Samsung 10's

If u ask me what to buy I would tell you a note 9 for flagship experience (500$ where I am at)
For the fastest experience I would tell you mi9 (400$)

          must include a headphone jack

There are better mid-rangers out there, even. For me, anyway. Mediocre battery and especially lack of 3.5mm jack is an instant pass. I'm gonna go with Zenfon 6 or K20

I want one, but I won't buy one - it's great and all, but I am waiting for Note, new iPhones, Sony Compact maybe (if it's not dead ofc.) etc. to make a decision. I am in no rush.

Price is not my first or only aspect I take into account when I buy a phone. I wouldn't mind about OP7 pro's price, if it had all those things it's missing and are present on e.g. Galaxy S10+. My problems with it lay elsewhere.
-It's way too big and heavy. Being a small company, they cannot afford to produce two radically different handsets, so they conduct their research and decide what people want.
I am not absolutely convinced that people want a 6.7" monster in their hands.
-It's missing way too many features. Who'd have thought a few years ago that Samsung would produce handsets more oriented to hardcore users and that Oneplus would settle for less and would go with the flow.
-I find their marketing strategy way too aggresive, pretendious and cheap for my taste.
I was one of those who bought OPO and it is one of my all-time favorite handsets, but since then OP has lost its way and now here we are.

While the hype was good, it's unfortunate that they went with the battery that they went with. Had the phone had a 5,000 mAH battery, wireless charging, and nano memory card expansion (NO flagship has any excuses now), it would have been the flagship to get. Now that the Galaxy S10+ is down to nearly the same price as this phone (albeit without the 90Hz refresh rate) with the microSD card, headphone jack, IP68, and better camera, OnePlus just missed the mark.

Mi 9 is a better value for the price! You don't need 90hz screen if you're not a heavy gamer and it eats your battery, even it has a much larger battery, the MI 9 lasts longer!
