As for the Honor, i heard it may lack the 3.5mm jack, and judging by Honor view 20, it should be more expensive than the Asus too.
The Asus and Redmi will probably be the only decent options for those seeking a more practical and full-featured phone.

      Might be Poco F1 successor.
Put plastic on frame & back don't care, I'll use case anyway.
UFS 2.1 vs 3.0? Not much difference. Check mrwhosetheboss speedtest oneplus 7 Pro vs S10+ vs P30 Pro
Put GG4. Same hardness as GG5 GG6. Again use a case.
At least 6gb ram, 128gb, 4000mah, sd card slot, price $350-$400
You'll take the throne Oneplus left.

As it stands I have this, Zenfone 6 and Honor20 pro all In mind

K20 Pro will be much cheaper than the Zenfone 6 mate I can guarantee you that. As for the Zenfone 6, you can pre-order it from Asus website for £499 or go on gearbest and get it for £435.70 with 6GB ram 64GB storage or 6GB ram with 128GB storage is £482.20. Though both are cheaper than purchasing it from the Asus website, the 128GB deal doesn't worth because you're paying an extra £46.80 for double the storage when the phone supports Micro SD and you can get a 64GB SD card from Sandisk Offical Amazon for £8.29

All these comments complaining about the phone not coming with ufs 3.0 or a larger battery and whatnot. This device will probably be price at max $400, get over yourselves. You want the latest and greatest, you have to pay more. It's a very simple concept.

Anonymous, 18 May 2019No misinformation, see for yourself: https://www.youtube.c... moreInteresting, won't make excuses for the device, but I think that doesn't have to do with Redmi optimization.

However, the video playback test is a bit unfair, since Frankie doesn't record at 60fps. The OLED panels can use variable refresh rate, while Note 7 is constantly forced at 60fps for less than 60fps content. It was on this test where it lost most of its battery, 20% more than the iQOO. The other tests it was only marginally worse than the competitors.

I admit that's a flaw with IPS, but that doesn't have to do with Redmi optimization. Xiaomi will definitely give K20 the same software optimizations that the Mi 9 received.

Luthfor, 18 May 2019No match with op7 pro.... But Mi Redmi doing good for ... moreExactly, people like us have gotten to the point in their live as smartphone users where they only want useful stuff in their phone. You can tell me everything you want about the advantages of a 4K screen with 90 Hz refresh rate, I have no use for it. But I use my phone as a remote control everyday, listen to the news on the radio every morning on my way to work, I use my Sd card very often, I don't want to charge my phone everyday or spend a whole 1000 € on it. And for those that are always talking about the camera (as if that should be the reason to buy a phone for up to 1000€), when I want to take more than average pictures I have a DSLR for that and it's always in my backpack (and I hardly go out of the house without my backpack).
Nothing much changes between software updates, and even if it does I can still buy a new phone after 2 years because the previous one didn't cost me a kidney.

Just because your battery lasts enough for your usage doesn't mean it's well optimized and lasts as much as it should.

Anonymous, 18 May 2019Well yea but with these benchmark scores, it's probably ove... moreThe Redmi brand is famous for their battery life. Your statement that Note 7 lasts less than flagships is either misinformation, or it comes from someone who got a defective battery.

It's common for Antutu scores to increase in the months after a new chipset. Brands optimize for new hardware, so it's not impossible that there is little or no overclocking. In which case, the device will last quite a while.

K20 will definitely be significantly cheaper than the Zenfone, Mi 9 already is. Xiaomi won't make the prices of Redmi devices greater than comparable Mi device.

Zendroid, 18 May 2019Have you seen the videos of poco f1 vs op7pro? If there wil... moreDon't you think your statement is a bit absurd? The OP7 Pro is a top tier flagship device, in my country it's almost the same price as Huawei's P30 Pro.

What exactly do you think the K20 needs to add for you to be satisfied? UFS 3.0 and a 90Hz panel are certainly attractive features, but why not consider how much more expensive the OP7 Pro is? It doesn't make sense to compare these two devices since the OP7 Pro will likely be close to twice the price of the K20.

A more realistic comparison is with the regular OP7, even if that is also far more expensive. There's no question that in terms of hardware, the K20 is the superior of these two devices, and will very likely cost close to 200 euros less than the OP7 (Mi 9 is already 110 euros less than the OP7). Would you put up with a notch, worse cameras, 200 fewer euros in your pocket, just so you could have a "cool" OP7 device and OOS? Still think K20 is bad value?

chrisggmu98, 18 May 2019Ummm I think You might be new to Xiaomi and Snapdragon 855 ... moreWell yea but with these benchmark scores, it's probably overclocked and won't be as power efficient as we are used to. Plus, they optimize the Mi series, but the redmi series, on the other hand, has quite mediocre autonomy. Redmi note 7 was behind fgagships in terms of battery life.

I'd probably go with the Zenfone 6, unless the Redmi is significantly cheaper.

beep beep telephone, 18 May 2019You're right that the price is the key, but I'm willing to ... moreIf it could cost 400 € then Xiaomi will make me a happy man, on the condition that they keep the headphone jack, SD card slot and IR blaster. I'm really tempted by the Zenfone 6, I'm very impressed by what ASUS did with that phone, it's got everything I could need (I willing to forego the IR Blaster for a better battery life). The only thing that could sway me in Xiaomi's direction is the price.

If there will be a poco f1 successor, it needs a lot more upgrades. Not just a camera and faster charging. Oled screen will be better on the battery, sure. But ok, if this redmi will be under 300$, and able to disable/delete bloatware. Then a phone to take.

                                - Battery is technically "the same", but with 855 it will undoubtedly last much longer.

I don't think CPU was the only upgrade.

I'm sure they'll find a way to make them obsolete, so that we'll keep buying the new ones (and allegedly more powerful) they'll produce.
