Anonymous, 28 May 2019Clearly you can't read. And have no clue about any details ... moreDid you mean to respond to another comment? I do not believe your words were directed towards my comment- not a big deal as on GSMArena things like that happen. If I were the target in your tirade, than I pity you as you may never have been smeared online before. I have a particular disdain for people who bring up topics not related to the original comment as ammunition in an attempt to look smarter or win an argument. Take for example Person A says feature phones, like those mentioned in the main article, do not need to exist as smartphones are cheap enough, are faster and are able to use more apps on them. Person B says these feature phones can be sold even cheaper than smartphones that are already cheap, then proceeds to bring up unrelated topics (i.e. vulnerable individuals) that Person A did not acknowledge or mention in their comment at all, which was an opinion about the subject of the article- that subject being about feature phones and funding for an operating system developer and nothing else. Nowhere in the article does the writer mention vulnerable individuals that Person B brought up in their response to Person A; this tells me that Person B brought up these vulnerable individuals so readers would perceive Person A as uncultured or ignorant. See the problem? This is already bad enough, but unfortunately Person B did not have any sensitivity toward the vulnerable individuals nor had any hesitation to further exploit them for something so petty as an argument. That is why I had wrote my comment. If you wanted my opinion and my points known, here they are. If your response was for another, do not mind my response then but you may want to see things from my perspective and remember to double-check the user who you are replying to. I want us all want to enjoy this site with respect to each user.

          AnonD-819322, 23 May 2019KaiOS is more usable than WP.Apples and oranges :)
From my experience with both WP and KaiOS, WP indeed has many more options and is much more thought-through and refined than KaiOS. The combination of 8110 4G and KaiOS makes some sense but the execution is atrocious. You'll struggle to get the phone doing stuff which it has been designed to do. Not saying you won't succeed in the end, there's just zero user friendliness and comfort.
That said, after a few weeks trying the 8110 4G as a backup phone, it has had disappointed in a big way. Only good things are battery life (but with Wi-Fi off only), dualSIM option and partially dimensions (though could be a bit smaller). "Real" old Nokia phones (like 3210, 3310, 6310i, E series, even the WP Lumias etc.) were miles ahead in being designed with everyday use in mind.

Bailey, 24 May 2019you really don't get it, do you? yes, there are phones that... moreWhat are you trying to say? Your first three sentences made an argument for the purpose of these phones, one that I will not argue. Beyond that you made an inane, obscene and ignorant statement. In what way would paying a phone bill using funds from prostitution have to do with arguing the case for enhanced feature phones? I believe you used exploited individuals for the purpose of burdening those who have differing opinions than you and removing their credibility. Shame on you.

Sma... moreyou really don't get it, do you? yes, there are phones that are dirt cheap that you wonder why this exists. But there are millions in the world that can't even afford the dirt cheap. It's scary to think that right now in this world people are selling their bodies so they can top up their phone. How blessed are you that you can say this but also so unaware.

Smartphones are so much better and there are some that are dirt cheap so really no point buying such a thing in 2019 unless you want a burner phone and in that case it does not matter what apps does it run.

I used Jio Phone with Kai OS. Trust me.. it's worst than Symbian features phones. Frustrating OS that only makes you more frustrated.

After using the Jiophone for 2 weeks, I doubt this OS can offer a decent experience. Bought Jiophone for basic features of call and text. The handset struggled with this. Messaging app took forever to open and picking up calls proved difficult. UI and navigation too are slow as hell. 1.5 day battery backup. I wonder if this is similar for other KaiOS based phones as even a demo Nokia 8110 rocking this at a store struggled in a similar way.
