Hmm. I wonder if they had an app developer company and a slightly beefed up OS, Huawei might have a good alternative and KaiOS can gain some popularity in Western markets

I like the idea of a Smartphone-Lite-OS.
It is just a matter of a few apps that has become essential, and then it would be a viable option.
And the hardware makers need to realize that selfie cameras are essential for a lot of people as well.
(If they don't have it already, google should add chromecast support... since it is basically a remote to start the stream of the device itself it doesn't have to eat the battery... It could also end up making google put in the extra work needed for re-establishing connection with the chromecast dongle, as it is now, even with the latest android, there are all sorts of issues when a connection is lost between the device and the dongle, and one tries to get control over the dongle again).

If Spygle supports it, i will stay away from it.
Btw, as Huawei P30 Pro user, i don't give rats ass what Google is doing. EMUI 9.1 is good enough, i don't care on which Spydroid version it's built. And i have all Spygle 'services' terminated already, only one i (seldomly) use (and it has other options as app) is Youtube.

KaiOS caught my attention, and I'm really interested the future of the operating system.
