And the categories I excluded are very bad, cheap and quick to duplicate games. Gambling is not gaming. Pay-2-win is not gaming (do you seriously like those games?), battle royals are awful and much harder to play with touch screen, and frankly do you like ultra monetized match-3 games?

Do you people even read. Already complaining about the price. Playdate will come with a 'season' of 12 games that are INCLUDED IN THE PRICE of the console. When the console releases, it will come with one game. Then, every week after that, the console will get one new game. You actually get what you paying for.

It is 100X better to have control buttons for one. Also, we all know how games drain phones battery fast. A gaming device will make life so much easier and leave the smartphone to do other things .... Also a standalone device allows the brand to have direct control over the whole experience. Please child think before you name something pointless.

You can discard every slots/casino game, any Pay-2-Win game, any match-3 game, any battle royale game (bad games, but your -140$ Android won't be able to play those anyway),

-have you ever heard of offline games? Hundreds or thousands games can still fully playable even you turn airplane mode on

The price is justifiable. This is a niche device that won't sell millions and it's not meant to. I personally wouldn't buy this if it cost 1 dollar, let alone 150. But a few people who want to play games on a Gameboy with crank will buy it, and this is meant for them

Look.. This product has a purpose.. a different purpose. U see kids are getting addicted to smartphones.. these days.. this is for all the kids.. just a basic gaming device with no additional functions unlike smartphones. So yes this product serves a unique purpose.
