A lot of people have been arguing that this is a silly dust up with Trump And Xi, but it's deepler than that. The initial moves against Huewei were started during the Obama administration. Only about 1% of Huewei is in private hands, the rest is controlled by the government through shell organizations. The government pours money into Huewei because it is expecting a return on the investment in terms of global access.
Summary of the situation by UK MI6 (60 pages) is available here

Excalibur, 27 May 2019Huawei just needs to invest more. They already proven they ... moreChinese companies are good at copying and replicating stuff from foreign companies, but they have no imagination and cannot design good new stuff on their own.
Hivemind with no individual personalities and personal creativity. Everyone conforms to the norms, so their minds can't break out and become innovative and creative.

Yes, Huawei may be temporarily be affected but consumers will be totally impacted with average stuff for $1500-$2500 with paint jobs, useless notch, below average RAM, completely below par modems and WiFi chips, throttled OS with icons....innovation will be in form of gold colour back ....

And there are TONS of apps using Google APIs and services. Even games will have issues because you will not be able to sync progress via Google gaming APIs. Ultimately, one will feel frustrated without supports from Google and leave Huawei for other brands.

This is also a big point of Brexit and as the matter of fact of every single big international business agreement. Which court has the jurisdiction.
Also to those with a blurry vision talking about Huwaei developing their own OS, appstore etc, this is not enough. This is the easy part. What about chipsets, memory, cards, Bt, NFC (as very correctly some other people wrote about...) It seems that the shit has already hit the fan for Huwaei.

They are not xiaomi.
They are in this for the money and what you are proposing isn't very profitable although it might be better than 0, but I don't think they are smart enough to see it after being used to get people to spend over 1k $ on their phones

The reality of Huawei I don't understand why everyone is talking about the eguptian ad. It's a video they can't pause the video insert a photo from the phone than complete the ad
https://youtu.be/ZCfgkIyD9g0 this is a samsung ad. Do you think that the photo at 1:41 was taking by s10? It's the same case with huawei
The moon mode is not fake as. Yes there is some sharprning going but it's not fake. Use pro mode to take the photo and you'll get similar photos(of course the one with moon mode is better but it's not a big difference)
Why don't youtubers check their informations before posting fake news?

"And if this takes several months to resolve, Huawei’s business outside of China may be over"
Nope!
If I am in Huawei's shoes, I would launch an app store (not named after Huawei) where developers take 100% of their revenues, and other vendors can preinstall it freely if they want.
And launch a late software update guarantee system of 3 years of software updates of all Huawei phones using Android open source versions without Google (as it is the case).
Lastly launch a non official blog shows a simple method (which Huawei creates) how to import G Play services to your phones (and make the phones already smoothly compatible with it)
All of this with cheap prices as there is no Google royalties are being paid.

Could this be a possible move towards an Apple/ios/iPhone and Google/Android/Pixel world.
Just two main players?
I wonder what would stop Samsung, Oppo etc being banned in the future?

Anonymous, 27 May 2019What about nfc? Also based in the U.S. in Wakefield, Massachusetts. So NFC is another tech that Huawei could be restricted from, along with Bluetooth. On various software and hardware fronts, the ban does not paint a pretty picture for Huawei.
