I believe the problem comes from the battery try to change it. The phone is 2 years old so you shout expect the battery to show it's age
Xiaomi uses li po battery while some other companies uses li ion
After a period of time: li ion loses it's charging capacity (for example the battery goes from 4000mah capacity to 2500mah)
For li po it loses some of the capacity but less than li ion battery. But the problem is that the battery becomes harder to charge over time

Buyer beware.
When your Xiaomi phone reaches 2 years or older, Xiaomi will push the final MIUI update,
the killer MIUI update that cannot be rolled back; the MIUI update that will cripple the fast charging of your phone and make it outrageously slow: from 2,500 mA (minimum) charging rate to a measly 200 mA charging rate: yes, slower than what you get from a computer's usb A port with data transfer going on simultaneously. It's an intentional update meant to force you to upgrade.
I've got three 2-3 year old Xiaomi phones that after getting updated to MIUI 10, became extremely slow charging. So even if the battery is still good based on all battery testing apps and expected to last many more years (being 4000mAh high capacity), that last update will render the phone useless: Very slow charging.
Planned obsolescence - Xiaomi style. It will not happen instantly after the final update, but for sure, it will happen to force you to upgrade to a new Xiaomi phone.
Sorry Xiaomi, but I won't be buying any Xiaomi phones or tablets anymore. The seven
Xiaomi phones and 1 Xiaomi tablet in our household will be our last Xiaomi devices after three of those devices suddenly went super slow charging after MIUI 10.
Again, buyer beware of Xiaomi!

phones are going to use indisplay fingerprint & this don't have even the old one!!!!

Keep the bezels but decrease the screen size to 5 inches. Either way, they could've achieved the dimensions of Galaxy S10e which is basically the maximum acceptable "compact" phone size. But with this, it's basically another 6' phablet and there are a lot better options in this category, even in Xiaomi catalogue.

The "old" Redmi 6A is a significantly smaller device than most other phones out there today. We have to go back to SGS5 days for a similar dimension.

if pictures are correct and it has large borders up and down then Xiaomi missed the chance to make compact phone. Compact phone does not mean small screen, but compact means that BODY SIZE is small! According to picture, its just another shovel with smaller screen size. Not buying. Would buy if pictures are fake and phone would be borderless, no chins and full screen front.
