Do you know what pixels are? Samsung's AMOLED displays have a pentile matrix that constist of red, green and blue pixels, with twice as many green subpixels as there are red and blue ones.
Dark grey is made by lighting up such an RGB combination, while only true black is made by turning off pixels. Darker colours draw less power though.

    I don't envision Apple letting go of the notch until 2021 at earliest. They beat to their own drum. They'll offer the 11S next year and then another new design. They do these 4-year cycle designs.

    I'm worried the next Pixel won't have any physical buttons. The iPhone of the future envisioned by Jony Ive will be the same way. No physical buttons or even ports. Everything is wireless.

      wow ... apple implemented triple cameras sooner than expected ... usually they will stuck with same technology around 4 to 5 years .. good job apple... of course they will put ois on wide angle camera on next year iphone or else they got nothing to brag about in their keynotes. .

      this year keynotes we will listen about how they improved the led flash, the first iphone with triple camera, the new frosted glass that is more durable than ever, the new improved cpu/gpu ... with new isp /ai/ security/ bla bla bla ....

          Not interested. When it comes to Apple, I'm only interested in their laptops. But I will say this, I like that the iPhone 11 has a frosted glass back.

          I love it on the Pixel 3. I prefer a matte finish over glossy or fingerprint magnet one. I think every OEM should use a frosted glass back. The stuff the Chinese and South Koreas use depresses me.

          Team Pixel all the way. I hope Google keeps using the frosted glass back forever. But good to see Apple do this. It means a copycat like Samsung will start to do it too. Then everyone else will follow.

                    Why bother?
                    There will be that stylus flagship phone from South Korea that would already have 5G modems, headphone jack, QHD+ display, better quality triple cameras, faster charger inside the box, larger and longer-lasting battery, and FAR more customizable, all for the same price as this one......

                        So ironic people calling Iphone not new or fresh or innovative when the company they backing up got most of their design cues from Apple.

                              Aside from looking dorky, it's actually more prone to breaking than regular triple camera setup, since the extra glass layer is at least 40% larger compared to regular vertical setup.

                              Not a big fan of this, lets just keep fingers crossed other manufacturers won't jump on the hype wagon.
