Companies are here to work for the people.
Like in 19th centaury in Great Britain even basic peasants supports and sends funds to build railroads across the ccountry because it was benefical for them.
Back in 19th centaury great britain had a biggest and longest railroads tracks among all other countries in world.
Just as an example.
No company would force customers to do something they dont want or are not willing to buy.
Price doesnt means quality.
Apple cost too much and is made in china.
I run a phone shop with 38 shops around the country of Czech republic and Slovakia.
I can buy even a fold by caviar thats not a problem.
My problem is i wont spend a penny more on a device which i needs for a basic things like calling, messaging, internet, gaming and basic photography. For that my Moto X4 si great enough.
Also many of my customers arent willing to pay 300 bucks for a device which xiaomi can make for a half price.
Please do understand that average salary here in Slovakia is between 500-700 euros per month. From which half of that goes to bills like rent water gas electricity uinternet cable tv and traveling.

Man, companies are built for different reasons, usually surrounding money, you have to accept that brands will differ from price, concept, technology, resources, audience, and tons of things... People don't care how much money the company makes from the device, unless you are on a budget and care for that. Some people even buy the phone just because it's the most expensive and advertised. You have to understand how the world works, because this is not just happening on hand held products, open your eyes and stop justifying your nonsense, otherwise you would be slave of that behavior.

And i understand your point that ome people would pay even 1600 for device because they think price is relevant. I can guarantee you that if people would knew the manufacturing price of their 1600 eur device is only 300 they wont buy it anymore.
By the way Xiaomi is number 4 top selling brand on the market. Samsung is number one only because they are available to purchase everywhere instead of xiaomi which many countries dont have this brand for sale.
Othervise xiaomi would be number 1 or 2 after hauwei.

Man, you don't understand the point, it's ok if you don't want to pay a certain amount for a device, that doesn't means that others wont and the brands and model variety are there for everyone's taste. You can't expect top seller brands (Premium brands) to have the same pricing as others whoms purpose is definitely to reach a different market. It's just obnoxious that it can't fit in your mind, which is what you let others think by commenting about the same things over and over. How are you comparing the phone with one that has yet not been released, it makes no sense. And please, that envy thing... Samsung needs to Overhaul its Quality Control Team. Retrench all the heads and shuffle the mid level staff.
This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable, especially after the Note 7 fiasco.
If anything, this would have Already cost Samsung in $Billions.

I run a phone shop with 38 shops around my country i can buy ven you or galaxy fold my from gold by Caviar. But i would never pay more than 400 euros for a device which i will use just for messaging calling viber, messenger, facebook and gaming.
For that my Moto X4 is great enough.
Your lack of knowledge surprises me.
And no i dont hate Samsung.
I just dont like their policy of overpricing every device by 500% difference between manuufacturing and final sale price.
If xiaomi creates from 25 to 50% revenue on every device why Samsung must have 500%. Month before Xmas same device will cost half the price and the will still earn nice money on that.
And i like some of their innovations as well as long as they ar relevant.
But making foldable device and then not telling anyone that screen protector is not a screen protector and cause permanent damage is not the way company should work.
Making curved screen which looks awesome but then if you have to glue 20 to 50 screen protectors on a curved screen and 25 to 50% will breaks when you push harder on the side of the curves is also not that great inovation.
For this reason i loved the project Ara which never been released.
And i can continue.
I understand not every person can like my style but i dislike for well known reasons.
When companies like Apple or Samsung fix their policies (the way they work, create new technologies and inventions) i will like them again.

Samsung didn't have the Fold 100% ready. So they put a trashy screen protector to have the FIRST FOLDABLE PHONE released. Reviewers claimed that the screen protector is "accidentaly removable" and now Samsung has at least 6 months to improve it. Bingo?
