China banned Facebook, Google, ... moreChina will never open the market to those social networks and apps, etc. And less knowing the amount of information they colect from people plus their security issues. Forget that. If a deal is reached in a relative long future in this trade ware, that will not include Google services, Facebook, Twitter, chat apps etc. And nothing that could send data out of the country without pass through their filters and in plain data without encryption.

China banned Facebook, Google, Youtube, Whatsapp, Twitch and any other US company and made their fork to provide in China. Now US is tired of being blocked they ban Huawei from US and everyone losses their mind.
In a while (year or two) they will settle and China and US will open their markets to other without blocking. This is a deal that Trump wants to get and he will. I support him totally as because as i am software developer and my app cannot be sold in China because of ban on Google.

The SD Association has revoked Huawei’s membership status. As the name suggests, the trade group dictates the SD and microSD standards of the industry. The Chinese company cannot use the standard for future devices anymore.
Of course they can use their propietary nano Memory Card, but is not easy to find in the market less online and a lot slower than the fastest microSD that triple the speed of the nano for now...

While what you are trying to say is that "this is mostly political, and not security", and I wouldn't necessarily disagree. However, I do believe the reports from Norway, Germany, Italy, etc etc that say there are real security concerns with Huawei's services. So I think, these issues need to be resolved... I mean do you remember the PSN Breach/Hack that happened several years ago, a chink in the armour and many people's banking details were stolen.
