Finally a phone which use sunligth to charge. It seems so obvious to me to have a cover with solar cells so you can partly charge you phone and extend the battery life.
Why is there no aftermarket who makes backcovers which can charge your phone?

this is what Sony should have always been. They had exceptional quality during pre-smartphone and also had the best features e.g. best screen and cameras.

I love this phone and will buy it...IF the xda devs will work on it. The Arc was a disaster with a very poor rom choice. I hope SONY will send free Xperia S models to CM,Virtuous and Modaco teams to boost rom develloping

Fast charge DOES NOT kill any current battery.
Common lithium polymer batteries are capable of up to 2C charge rate, and that means 20 minutes charging time.

Nokiaboy, 27 Jan 2012Considering to buy the phone myself but my main concern is ... moreHi Nokiaboy
The Xperia S is a lot more pleasant to handle as compared to the Galaxy SII, despite not being as thin (thin isn't necessarily good IMO, compromises always have to be made for thinness)
The important part about handling the Xperia S is that its got that arced back, and evenly disturbed chassis weight which makes it a pleasure to handle despite it being 144g
Despite being 28 grams heavier than the arc/s, which I'm holding at the moment, it feels much better to handle compared to the arc, makes the arc feel toy-ish in comparison
I cannot comment on the final build yet however, as the one I tried is a prerelease build, with the UV nano coating not yet applied and the title of Sony Ericsson still on the unit. That said, the prerelease build has a matte type backing that serves as an anti slip grip
Anyways, I should be update everyone on the final release unit in 2-3 weeks time. Would be field testing one before it gets released to familiarize myself with it
