Yeah, you get a lot for the buck, but Nokia competes with real brands like Sony, Samsung, Motorola, LG that also cost a lot compared to those cheap phones.

Why are people saying Nokia has a complicated naming scheme, Samsung is much worse with their J2 Core, J7 Core. Also, the J6+ is equal to the J4+ but has a FP scanner, it's worse than the J5 2017, where is the logic? Now that the J series is defunct, Samsung have already made the A series a mess. Nokia using decimals is nothing short of simple. At least the numbers reflect the class of their phones.
People are also saying Nokia have not been doing well when it comes to flagship and upper mid-range phones, I have to agree with that. Where is the hope? Nokia haven't showcased their full potential or best possible phone. They don't compete with Xiaomi when it comes to specs, however, they offer their typical rigid phones, unlike the Redmi Go for example, breaks when bent unlike the Nokia 1, no wonder they're slightly overpriced. The Nokia 5.1 Plus and 6.1 Plus are great deals in my opinion. You can't complain about the 5.1 Plus having a sub-1080p display when the iPhone XR doesn't even have one at almost £1000.
It annoys me so much when others are complaining about the fact that Nokia are making too many phones, at least their phones cover the whole market. Samsung honestly overdo this, but the amount of Windows Phones Nokia made yearly should be similar to their Android phones. I ask for better, newer chipsets, that is all. I also am not a Samsung hater, I feel that they are slightly overrated. My favourite brands are Nokia, LG, Sony, Motorola and HTC (if they get back to their game, they aren't making enough phones).

All this whining about Nokia releasing budget phones when most of the market they appeal to don't look at specs as a whole.

23 smartphones in just 2 years and google's one program is taking care of their software so hmd is dumping phones in market using nokia brand value with zero customiztion for their prevoius phones. Hope hmd's nokia dies again..

When Nokia launched their new handsets with Android OS back in 2017, people bought those handsets for nostalgia. Specifications offered and price charged at that time was insane and irrelevant. They had promised 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates. Since then they had launched over 20 handsets with different specifications and different price range. Now they are not able to manage all those handsets (for OS updates and security updates). Still they are charging insane price for poor specifications. Other OEM’s are offering similar specifications at half of their price. If they really want to sustain in the market, they should charge average price for similar specifications. Now as nostalgia is over, nobody will pay them premium price for poor specifications, buyers will check specifications offered with price charged. No point in launching poor specifications phones at premium price if they are not able to provide OS updates and security updates on time. Better they launch 3 phones (low end, mid-range and flagship) with proper specifications at proper price and provide OS updates and security updates on time.
Nokia 3 user waiting for Pie update. They had promised Pie update in early Q2 2019! No plan to upgrade next time to Nokia due to poor service.

They already sunk without being chinese, when they were pure finnish. Now with one and half feet inside China even worse. They are not going to buy the facilities they had as an option, so at the end, the chinese arm will take over them.

Hmd should look into the new Nokia phone battery swollen issues, battery is the life of a phone. The type of battery used is different from old Nokia phones. The battery swollen issues have rendered my Nokia 5 and Nokia 2 useless after one year used. Hmd should consider Africa weather in the type of battery on phones going to the region. With Non removable battery, swollen issue is great problem, service centres are located in cities and not in rural areas. Hmd please improve on the quality and durability of Nokia battery to help Nokia fans.

However Nokia, a finnish brand, don't have that problem.

All their phones are running by Android Stock and their performance are amazing so I'm sorry my friend ....

The article is wrong, they also announced a snapdragon 439 powered phone.
I kinda hope that Nokia isn't killing themselves by releasing too many phones. They should stick to just 2 or 3 levels/pricepoints and invert their naming scheme (generation should be the first number, feature set should be the 2nd number just as it was with their old phones, and is with -all- hardware components (apart from phone SoCs which are notoriously ****ing confusing) ).

I still don't see the selling point of Nokia. Apart from android one there really nothing to show off. Camera, just so-so. Performance, nothing unexpected of each chipset sometimes worse. Pricing, definitely badly priced phones compared to competitors. Features to differentiate from others, none. The 5 camera phone is not it either. You all better off buying Pixel phone especially the 3a. Nokia sucks.

Nokia Mobiles will soon be dead again at this rate. All these phones are terrible or at best average. They can't compete with Xiaomi, Realme, or even Honor. Despite the current issues I'd still rather have an honor 10 lite or 8X then any of these

Smartphone companies sure like to complicate things with their naming schemes. And even then not a single device worth serious consideration. Come on Nokia you can do better.

Some minor upgrades on hardware and maybe tear drop camera in front or the hole in the screen. Hardware wise will still be out of any competition as there hardware will be really low specs for what competition have to offer.

Didnt Nokia have the line "Be different" ? Now they are Be different pay more for less then competition
