Weekly poll: is the Redmi K20 Pro a true flagship killer? And what about the K20?

02 June 2019
The K20 Pro features a nearly-complete flagship specsheet and a moderate price, unlike certain other "flagship killers".

Those of you approving this phone are approving the removal of useful functions from phones. You're no better than iSheep. I remember when people bought android phones because of the increased functionality over iPhone

Anonymous, 02 Jun 2019Something something water protection.Man as long water protection doesnt cover your warranty I.E. if you dronw your phone your warranty is good your water protection which you said is missing is good for (try guess what).

Now you know so water protection is nothing than an useless gimmick not worth extra money device would cost.
By the way it protects only against clean water no soap no coke or tea etc.
Just waste of money for an useless feature which have no practical use.

It will make life tough for One+7 siblings.

Almost similar stuff but at half the rates of One+7.
At least in price conscious India it will work for Xiaomi, but will make it tough for One+. One+ had used same strategy in India to establish itself. Xiaomi doesn't hype and instead delivers value for money.

I think One+ will now have a bad taste its own strategy.

What is battery endurance rating? Does it beat redmi 3 battery endurance rating 104 hour? Or K20 is not so good and old redmi 3 is better?

It could considered as flagship, but K20 is pointing another demand class compared to Samsung or Apple, which could be very wise decision for Xiaomi.
That unbelievable prices are come from some missing features, (Still unbelievable though) and there will be demand just for K20 (or Zenfone 6, yes.)

Well it's not a flagship killer, in many ways it's better, but people who would buy an expensive flaship, wouldn't buy this and people who'd buy this, wouldn't buy an expensive flagship.
Lack of 3.5mm jack, poor battery, notch or edge screen, these are unacceptable compromises for me, so there's no chance i'd buy an expensive flagship even at K20 pro's price. And i wouldn't buy an expensive flagship even if phones like K20 pro or Zenfone 6 (It's not in the "flagship" category too) didn't exist.
"Current "flagships" just don't live up to their names. They are not the best at everything and they are not for power users, they are fashionphones.

3.5mm Jack Fetishist, 02 Jun 2019Standard K20 wounldn't need to exist honestly, the Pro vers... moreWell SD730 is enough for anyone who doesn't play games and it should be more battery-friendly, so i'd buy it over 855 since battery life is important to me.
But i heared rumors it won't have DC dimming and no dual band GPS. If so, i'd go with the "pro", too, these compromises don't seem acceptable for me.

Yes indeed! 100% sure. No doubt about it.
The K20 is an upper midrange phone with midrange price.

Standard K20 wounldn't need to exist honestly, the Pro version is what it should be.
